Simple translation

Oh one who is mercifully residing in thiruveLLaRai where humble cuckoos are pecking the sprouts in the mango groves and having attained the astringent taste in their mouths, they are going and drinking the honey in the sweet jack fruit! Oh one who is residing in the divine hill named thiruvEngadam which is filled with bamboo and who granted the kingdom for pancha pANdavas to have the horses which came charging, destroyed and to have the lives of the kings destroyed! You should kindly grant parama bhakthi towards you.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

vAm pari … – To have the horses which are hopping and charging, destroyed and to have the kings who ride those horses, killed, krishNa gave the throne to the pANdavas. He showed his partiality towards pANdavas, by destroying those with the (horse) army.

kAmbinAr … – Oh one who has the mountain named thiruvEngadam which has abundance of bamboo.

nin kAdhalai aruL enakku – Your highness should kindly grant me parama bhakthi which is the stage before kainkaryam at your highness’ divine feet.

mAm pozhil … – After entering the mango grove, the female cuckoo pecked the sprouts in there.

vAyadhu thuvarppeydha … – Considering “I should change the taste in my mouth to some other taste”, it consumed the honey in the sweet jack fruit.
