sarvESvaran is the lord who is mercifully present in the dhivyadhESam named vaN purudOththamam where SrIvaishNavas who are naturally engaged in vEdha adhyayanam, and are having abundant fame on the earth, are residing; thirumangai AzhwAr who is a cloud raining mercy, reached under the divine feet of such emperumAn and became redeemed; he is the king for the residents of thiurvAli and sang these ten pAsurams which are complete in tune; those who have learnt these pAsurams will attain countless, great joy and will unite with nithyasUris.
Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
maNNuL … – maNNuL Ar pugazh vEdhiyar – brAhmaNas who have great fame on the earth; maNNuLAr pugazh – those who are praised by the residents of earth. Attained sarvESvaran’s divine feet, and attained self realisation from being in the state as mentioned in thaiththirIya upanishath “asannEva sabhavathi” (considered as insentient).
Ali man – AzhwAr who is the chief of the residents of thiruvAli.
aruL mAri – Very magnanimous AzhwAr who is like a cloud while giving mercy to his devotees, sang these ten pAsurams which are complete with tune. Those who are experts in these pAsurams, will have unlimited joy in this world, and subsequently, will become part of the group of nithyasUris who are joyful.
