periyAzhwAr thirumozhi >> Fifth Centum

In periyAzhwAr thirumozhi 4.10.1, AzhwAr had said “appOdhaikku ippOdhE solli vaiththEn” – since I would not be able to praise you in my last moments, when the servitors of yama come and harm me, I have told you now itself, when my sensory organs are under my control, to protect me in my last days. Later, in periyAzhwAr thirumozhi 5.1.2, he had said “sazhakku nAkkodu pun kavi sonnEn” – with my defective tongue, I had composed defective pAsurams on you. Feeling remorseful regarding his unqualified nature, AzhwAr tried to move away from emperumAn. However, finding that his sensory organs were falling head over heels on emperumAn, he requested emperumAn to pardon him. emperumAn realised that he must have been at a fairly long distance from AzhwAr, for AzhwAr to seek pardon. Hence, he falls head over heels towards AzhwAr, enters his heart and stays forever in his heart. This thirumozhi mentions this.
In the svApadhESam, it is mentioned that emperumAn, through his auspicious quality of sauSeelyam [equal disposition towards all], manifests to AzhwAr his lying inside AzhwAr’s heart. Seeing that, AzhwAr speaks in this thirumozhi. After emperumAn has entered, AzhwAr tells avidhyA [ignorance], karma [past deeds], vyAdhi [disease], indhriyam [sensory perceptions] and yamabatars [servitors of yama, the lord of righteousness] “Do not think that this is the old AthmA and dhEham [physical form]. emperumAn has entered my heart, with the same affection which he bestows on his divine abodes. Now, if you desire to be alive, try to leave from here”.
