Oh, dragonfly which is present on a pole! Bring the fragrance from the bundle of fragrant thiruththuzhAy on the shining divine crown of such emperumAn and blow it on me.
Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
nandhan … – Am I asking you to go to a place which is unreachable for us? [krishNAvathAram is in the past]
nandhan madhalai – One who became easily approachable by taking birth as the divine son of SrI nandhagOpar.
nila mangai nal thuNaivan – He took birth as krishNa to eliminate the burden on earth.
andha mudhalvan – He is the annihilator of all and creator of all.
amarargaL tham perumAn – He is`as said in thiruvAimozhi 1.1.1 “ayaravaRum amarargaL adhipathi” (the lord of nithyasUris who are free from bewilderment).
kandham … – One who is having the divine complexion of a fragrant kAyAm pU. Only the complexion can be compared with the kAyA flower [in all other aspects, he is beyond comparison with that flower]. He has the greatness as said in chAndhOgya upanishath “sarvagandha:” (the abode of all fragrances). The thiruththuzhAy is present as a bundle and is fragrant.
