In the previous decad, AzhwAr feared being subdued by the senses and cried out. bhagavAn asks “Why are you crying out like this? Even for the greatly knowledgeable personalities such as brahmA et al, when they announce their dangers, I remain inside the kshIrAbdhi (milk ocean) and they remain at the shore of kshIrAbdhi only. I cannot be approached by them. But I have arrived and stood in this dhivyadhESam to listen to your complaints. Is there any shortcoming in your patience to remain convinced that I will not do further favours? Have I not arrived here to fulfil all your desires?” and manifests his form in thiruvazhundhUr. AzhwAr meditates upon that divine form and becomes satisfied. He then looks at others and advises them “There is no refuge other than he. Thus, everyone should surrender unto him and see that you are all uplifted”.
