Simple Translation

You [yaSOdhAp pirAtti, addressing krishNa] had swallowed butter along with well-cooked lentils. You had tilted pots containing curd and consumed the curd. You had snapped and felled two marudha trees pervaded by monsters, who had made [their] false [state of being tress] to appear as amazing. You have come now, as if you had done nothing. Oh, one who is complete with the activities of a child, like these! Those who are neutral will say that you are my son. Oh, one who is the lord of all! I know today that you are the difficult-to-attain lord. I am afraid to give you [my bosom] milk.

vyAkhyAnam (Commentary)

kummAyam … – Swallowing butter along with lentils which had been cooked very softly.

kudath thayir … – tilting curd which had been filled up in pots, along with the pots and consuming the curd too

poy … – two monsters had pervaded two marudha trees [Indian laurel trees], making it appear that they were indeed trees, in an amazing manner. You had gone through them, snapping them and making them to fall down, killing them.

inRu nI vandhAy – You had come, as if you had not done anything.

immAyam valla piLLai nambI – Oh, one who is complete with your qualities of being a child, capable of carrying out such amazing activities!

thiruvAimozhip piLLai, in his svApadhESam, says that krishNa is complete with the qualities of such mischievous acts and his child-like activities.

unnai en maganE enbar ninRAr – Those who do not know about your capabilities, will say that you are my son

ammA unnai aRindhu koNdEn – Unlike those people, I know truly that “You are not my son” and that “You are the lord of all”

unakku … – Hence, I am afraid to give you milk.
