Simple translation
Oh, those who are eager to surrender, leaving aside jainas et al who are different from sAthvika (noble) people, who roam around in every street, disregarding their words and having very lowly vratham of consuming rice and porridge! If you desire to meditate upon bhagavAn, who is jalaSAyi (one who reclines on water), who is reclining in this dhivyadhESam having the divine name siRupuliyUr, where brAhmaNas, who are opulent due to their wealth, are residing, and if you desire to meditate upon the divine feet of vAmana who is having a beautiful form, do that.
Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
theruvil thiri siRu nOnbiyar – Having a form which is not apt for public, they are roaming in the streets, and having avaidhika (non-vaidhika) deeds.
senjORRodu kanji maruvip pirindhvar vAy mozhi madhiyAdhu vandhadaivIr – As said in periya thirumozhi 2.1.7 “thaN thayirinAl thiraLai midaRRidai nerukkuvAr” (pushing handful of rice mixed with the best curd), they would consume porridge that does not bring any confusion in their minds. In this manner, they are having avaidhika conduct and are roaming around being away from vaidhika rules. Oh, those are discarding such words and are eagerly surrendering!
thiruvil poli maRaiyOr – Where very opulent brAhmaNas are residing…
siRupuliyUrch chalasayanaththu – Meditate upon the divine feet of vAmana, who is sarvESvara who is having a divine form which is beautiful and is desirable for anyone who sees it. Oh those who are trying to meditate in this manner!
uNarvIr – Oh those who are meditating! The verb is to be understood as in “Abandon the words from the mouth of those jainas et al who are roaming around in the streets desiring for rice and porridge. Try to surrender unto bhagavAn who is in siRupuliyUrch chalasayanam. Understand the divine feet of thrivikrama”.
