thiruvAimozhip piLLai, in his svApadhESam, says that AzhwAr desires that krishNa should walk like a little elephant which roams around on its own.

veN puzhudhi mEl peydhu koNdu aLaindhadhOr vEzhaththin karum kanRu pOl
then puzhudi Adith thirivikkiraman siRu pugar pada viyarththu
oN pOdhu alar kamalach chiRukkAl uRaiththu onRum nOvAmE
thaN pOdhu koNda thavisin mIdhE thaLar nadai nadavAnO

Simple Translation

emperumAn, as thrivikraman, had measured all the words with three steps of his divine feet. Just as his divine form has appeared radiant, krishNa is playing with dirt, like a dark, baby elephant which sprays white dirt all over its body and plays with its trunk. Will not that krishNa, whose divine form is shining with the dirt sticking to places where he is sweating, take tender steps on to a matress of lotus flowers, such that his divine feet do not pain where he steps on?

vyAkhyAnam (Commentary)

veN puzhudhi … – just like a dark, baby elephant, which sprays white dirt on itself, swinging its trunk

theN … – applying clean [white] dirt on his divine form

thrivikraman – without considering the softness of his divine feet, emperumAn measured the worlds to fulfil the desire of his follower, indhran.

thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that just as AzhwAr saw thrivikraman during the incarnation of vAmana, due to matching nature of quality, he sees krishNa also as thrivikrama.

siRu pugar pada viyarththu – on those places on his divine form where there are droplets of sweat, the dirt which he had applied, appears a bit shiny

oN pOdhu … – his divine, little feet appear like a beautiful lotus flower which has blossomed at the appropriate time. Without causing any pain to those divine feet at the places where he has stepped onto firmly.

thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that his feet are tender just as it has been mentioned in thiruvAimozhi 6-2-10maRRai nilamagaL pidikkum melladi” (the tender, divine feet which are gently massaged by SrI dhEvi and bhU dhEvi, who themselves have very tender divine hands).
