Simple Translation

yaSOdhAp pirAtti has locks decked with flowers, on which beetles have settled. She nurtures krishNa, the child of the entire herd-clan, as her son. Have a look at his divine neck which has swallowed [at the time of deluge] all the galaxies along with the inhabiting entities, both with and without the ability to think. Oh, beautiful women! Come and have a look.

vyAkhyAnam (Commentary)

vaNdamar … – mothers would decorate themselves such that the children will not feel distressed. In line with this, since yaSOdhAp pirAtti too has decorated herself with seasonal flowers, beetles would come and settle on them in order to imbibe honey in those flowers. The son of SrI nandhagOpar, who she considers as her son, and nurtures. Since AzhwAr knows the fact [that krishNa is dhEvakip pirAtti’s son], he says “considers as her son”; as far as yaSOdhAp pirAtti is concerned, krishNa is her son.

aNdam … – this refers to emperumAn swallowing all the galaxies along with the chEthanas and achEthanas who inhabit those galaxies such that they remain in a small corner of his divine stomach. He had swallowed everything, without leaving out anything.

kaNdam … – Look at the beauty of his divine neck. Oh, beautiful women! Come and have a look at his divine neck. thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that the term kArigaiyIr refers to those who are completely devoted to emperumAn.

We shall next consider the 14th pAsuram of this thirumozhi.
