Women whose slender, beautiful waists are victorious over pole, snakes and creepers and are having very fragrant hair will insult the man by pushing him out and shutting the main door on him. AzhwAr says – Oh heart! Before that happens, we will reach the eternal abode of sarvESvaran, the trustworthy one, that is thirunaRaiyUr which is surrounded by rich orchards which are having areca trees which are in groves and are giving reddish gold like fruits. Let us go.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

kombum … – Women who are having waists which will defeat a thin pole, snake, creeper etc, and are having very fragrant hair.

vAsal … – Previously they loved him, but as he has become worthless now, they will push him out and shut the door on him. But due to desire, he will remain there without leaving; to make him feel ashamed and leave, they will inform that he does not have any qualification to enjoy and ridicule him. Before hearing such insulting words.

sem pon … – It seems that everything in that abode is well ripened. The town is surrounded by orchards filled with areca trees which yield reddish fruits which resemble reddish gold. It will resemble paramapadham which is abode reached by mukthAthmAs.

namban … – Let us approach thirunaRaiyUr where one, who is trustworthy to be approached at all situations, is residing.
