maruvu nin thiru neRRiyil chutti asai thara – the ornament chuttii worn on the forehead was fitting so well with the forehead that it made one to wonder “Was it born along with the divine forehead?” As it swayed . . .
maNi vAyidai muththam tharudhalum – planting kisses with your beautiful mouth
un thAdhaiyaip pOlum – like your father, vasudhEvar
vadivu kaNdu koNdu uLLam uL kuLira – looking at your [beautiful] form, my mind felt completely happy.
viralaich chenjiRu vAyidaich chErththu veguLiyAy ninRu uraikkum avvuraiyum – putting your divine fingers inside your reddish, little mouth, standing with anger and speaking gibberish; the implied meaning is that the words spoken by kaNNan even in anger have a beauty.
thiruvilEn onRum peRRilEn – I am such an unfortunate person that I even lost the experience of enjoying the childhood activities [of my son].
ellAm dheiva nangai yaSOdhai peRRALE – just as I was born to lose everything, yaSOdhA was born to enjoy everything. Such a celestial person, yaSOdhA, experienced all your childhood activities, without missing even one.
