Simple translation

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
ilagiya … – In the sacrificial altar of mahAbali who was wearing radiant crown which indicates that he is the king of all, assuming the form which is well-used to begging, previously, when water fell on his hand, emperumAn accepted the vast earth and measured it.
ulagudai … – To frighten karuvUr which was surrounded by huge fort, pallava king defeated pANdiyan who was the controller of the whole world, and destroyed his armies. Such pallava king surrendered to paramESvara viNNagaram.
