Simple translation

To make kuvalayApeedam, not being bound, breathing fire and having rounded eyes, suffer, disregarding it [it’s power], sarvESvaran pulled its curved tusk; being sarvESvaran who is having pirAtti in his divine chest, he churned and brought out nectar; disregarding mother yaSOdhA who is having hair with singing beetles humming tunes, he mercifully consumed the curd and butter [which were preserved by her]; if we were to utter his divine name, it is in the form of “namO nArAyaNa“.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

pUNAdhu analaum thaRu kaN … – To make kuvalayApeedam which is not being bound by the pole, breathing fire on those who try to bind it, having rounded eyes as per the species, suffer, krishNa effortlessly pulled its tusks, disregarding the fact that it is a very powerful elephant; further, he churned the ocean and retrieved the nectar from it and remained joyful from the joy of those who consumed it. The reason for that is because he is sarvESvaran.

thirumArvan … – As said in SrI vishNu purANam 1-9-105 “paSyathAm sarvadhEvAnAm yayau vakshasthalam harE: ” (even as the celestial entities were watching, SrI mahAlakshmi attained the divine chest of emperumAn), he remains as the one with pirAtti in his divine chest.

pANA vaNdu … – Having learnt [to hum], being drunk with honey, while singing, they are humming with tunes. Having such beetles in her hair.

Aychchi thayir … – If krishNa steals the curd and butter which were preserved by mother yaSOdhA and mercifully tries to consume it, she will bind him and beat him; at that time, he will think “Is there any shame in stealing the butter [and getting caught]? [No]”.
