Simple Translation
Owing to consuming milk, ghee and curd over a long period of time, owing to applying sandalwood paste and champaka flower over a long period of time, with lotus flower and medicated camphor emitting an eminent fragrance together, with a few divine teeth, which are like tender, silver buds, shining inside your divine mouth which is beautiful and reddish, amidst the figurines of five divine weapons which are beautiful with a bluish colour, nectar like saliva secreting from your divine mouth which is like kovvaikkani dripping, oh, one who is the meaning of the apt vEdhams! You should perform sengIrai. Oh, one who is the lord of all the worlds! You should dance; you should dance.
vyAkhyAnam (Commentary)
pAl … – Since you have been consuming materials obtained from cows, such as milk, ghee and curd, since materials such as beautiful sandalwood paste and champaka flower have been applied on your divine form, when your divine form moves, they too move; due to your happiness [that you have been asked to dance by your mother] since your divine lips, which are described by ANdAL in nAchchiyAr thirumozhi 7-1 as “karuppUram nARumO kamalappU nARumO” (will [the divine mouth] have the sweet fragrance of medicated camphor or will it be fragrant like a lotus flower?), have blossomed, the naturally fragrant smell of lotus and medicated camphor come mixed with the earlier mentioned fragrances.
thiruvAimozhip piLLai, in his svApadhESam, says that due to consuming milk, ghee and curd, by stealing within and outside the house, he has a fragrance. Also, fragrance coming out of materials such as sandalwood paste, champaka flower etc which are applied by those who are affectionate towards him, gets emitted.
kOlam … – a few divine pearls which are like silver buds are shining inside the divine mouth which is like fragrant coral which is pleasing to look at.
neelam … – your divine lips are like matured kovvaikkani fruit, complementing the bluish colour of your divine form. The divine nectar, secreting from that divine mouth is dripping amidst the figurines of [your] five divine weapons, which are strung in a chain.
Elum …– Oh, one who is the apt meaning of the vEdhams [sacred texts]! Just as it has been mentioned in bhagavath gIthA 15-15 “vEdhaiScha sarvair ahamEva vEdhya:” (Only I am known through all the vEdhams), he is the most fitting meaning of all the vedhams. You should perform sengIrai.
thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here: Elum – apt; only that entity who is the apt meaning of all the vEdhams is the lord of the seven worlds.
Ezhulagum … – Oh, one who is the lord of all the worlds! You should mercifully perform dance.
