Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
pErAnai – On the banks of the river [kAvEri], present in thiruppEr, to be enjoyed by all.
kuRungudi emperumAnai – thirumangai AzhwAr has a special privilege in thirukkuRungudi; it is only AzhwAr’s will which prevails there [Since AzhwAr got mOksham in this dhivyadhESam, as granted by bhagavAn as per his desire].
thiruththaNkAl UrAnai – One who remains as a resident of this dhivyadhESam, without distinguishing himself from others.
karambanUr uththamanai – One who is reclining where the temple door cannot be closed due to constant visitors, as it is on the way to many important dhivyadhESams.
muththu ilangaum … – With shining pearls, abundantly dark, the seven oceans which are firm in not breaching the shore, the seven mountains which seem to be nails anchoring the earth – while keeping these seven worlds which have such features, in his stomach and protecting them, he thinks he did not do enough, for those who were helped by him, need not worry thinking how they can repay for his help.
