Simple translation
emperumAn, the youthful one, ate the life of pUthanA who came assuming a deceitful form, ate the curd which was present near by, mercifully ate the butter, ate the life of the very strong kamsan, and mercifully placed this world in his divine stomach; being the desirable abode of such emperumAn, arimEya viNNagaram in thirunAngUr is having beauty of kAvEri river flowing and pushing along sandalwood trees, agaru trees and gold, enters the garden which has grown tall up to clouds and the fertile field and creates wealth; the brAhmaNas who are great vaidhikas, submitting the best flowers, standing there performing anjali, saying “Oh hari! Your divine feet are our refuge”, are surrendering with praises.
Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
vanjanai … – Consuming the life of pUthanA who came with a deceitful form; mercifully ate the curd which was present near by; mercifully ate the butter; consumed kamsan’s life. For him, there is no difference between the objects which are touched by favourable persons and the life of the unfavourable persons.
ivvulagu uNda – Just as he mercifully ate butter, he has taken the earth and placed in his stomach.
kAviri … – kAviri brings sandalwood. agil, gold and pushes into the garden which has grown tall to reach the clouds, and in the fertile field and creates unlimited wealth; as the brAhmaNas see the arrival of the river, they offer flowers and perform anjali saying “sarvESvaran has sent this for our livelihood” and reside there surrendering unto him.
