Simple translation
I, the servitor went to the dhivyadhESam named thirukkaNNamangai for sarvESvaran who is like an inconceivable ocean, which is outside all the other oceans, who is having the prideful/strong gait of a bull, who is ASritha parathanthra (submissive towards devotees) like a woman and svathanthra (independent) like a man, who is an embodiment of thapas, granting the result for the penance of the yogis who are having countless penances, who is enjoyable like a pearl necklace which is gathered together, who is like the prANan (vital air) which sustains for his devotees, who is like a protector like a bunch of pearls, who is having childhood like that of a sprout and adulthood like a blossomed flower, who is the target of my heart’s desire where I am his servitor, who is enjoyable like sugarcane juice which is incomparably sweet due to being nourished by nectar as water and who is like a fruit which is immediately enjoyable. I saw him there.
Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
perum puRak kadalai – One who is inconceivable like an ocean which has all (many) entities in it and protects those. One who is like a huge ocean which is outside all the oceans.
adal ERRinai – One who is having the prideful gait due to having everything in him and protecting everything other than him by having those in him.
peNNai – When asked “If that is the case, is he unapproachable for everyone?” he is present as parathanthra (obedient).
When asked “Does he only have pArathanthryam?”
ANai – One who has uncontrollable freedom.
eN il munivarkku aruL tharum thavaththai – For the yOgis who have countless thapas (penance), he is the thapas which can grant the result of their thapas.
muththin thiraL kOvaiyai – One who is like a pearl necklace, made from a collectioin of pearls, which removes fatigue as soon as it is seen and could be adorned on the body.
paththar Aviyai – One who is very rare such that those who care for him cannot live without serving him.
niththilath thoththinai – One who is like treasure trove of pearls, which comforts us that we will also get a share of it. niththilam – pearl, beauty. Collection of beauty.
arumbinai alarai – One who is having both childhood and adulthood simultaneously. as said in “yuvAkumAra:” (youth and adolescent).
adiyEn manaththu Asaiyai – Though I am enjoying him always, I am having this desire as if I have never enjoyed him in the past.
amudham podhi in suvaik karumbinai – One who is like incomparably sweet sugarcane, as if it was nourished with nectar as water.
kaniyai – One who is well ripened fruit, to consume as it is.
senRu nAdik kaNNamangaiyuL kaNdu koNdEnE – Just as the one who gets to eat where he felt hungry, I got to see and enjoyed him in the place where desire was born in me to see him.
