Simple translation
Oh, amazing lord who is remaining firm in thirumAlirunjOlai hill which is very tall and cool! Are you present in the four vEdhams? Are you present in the divine abode siRupuliyUr where bhagavAn, who is jalaSAyi, is reclining and where brAhmaNas, who are naturally nurturing the three types of fire through hOmams (fire sacrifice), are residing? Are you present in the hearts of those bhAgavathas, who are your servitors? I am not knowing the answer for this question. You should mercifully answer me.
Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
sEyOngu … – sEy can be considered as the name of the kshEthrapAlan (guard for the abode) [who is rudhra’s son, skandha and others] and here it is indicating him. Alternatively, sEy indicates distance and hence implies very tall hill. The amazing one who is standing in such divine hill.
enakku uraiyAy idhu – You should mercifully give me the answer for this.
maRai nAngin uLAyO – Are you present in the four vEdhams which completely speak about you?
thI Ombugai … – Are you present in the siRupuliyUrch chalasayanam where brAhmaNas are fully engaged in fire sacrifices?
unadhu adiyAr … – Are you present in the hearts of those who are exclusively focused on your divine feet? I am not knowing this. You have to mercifully explain this in the manner which will make me understand it.
By this, it is explained that just as saubhari assumed multiple forms, bhagavAn is present in all of these places, completely, without any shortcoming, and he manifested that to AzhwAr.
