Simple translation
thirunaRaiyUr is having the amazing kAvEri gathering gold, pearls, lion’s nails, tusks of elephants having trunk with hole, and pushing them with the help of its cool water’s waves. bhagavAn has himself arranged to have periya pirAtti, who is naturally tender and is having very slim waist that is matching lightning, on his beautiful chest and being joyful due to that. Oh heart! Try to surrender unto his divine feet which are tender like flower.
Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
pon muththum … – As the lions fight with the elephants, the lions will break the elephants’ heads with a huge blow and pearls will come out of those heads. Those pearls, the gold which is present on the mountains, lions’ nails, elephants’ tusks, will be brought by the cool waves of kAvEri as lighning lights up the western direction, and pushed over.
min oththa … – periya pirAtti, who is having lightning like waist and who is more tender than bhagavAn himself, is held on his divine chest.
manna … – Surrender unto the tender, divine feet of bhagavAn who is always joyfully keeping periya pirAtti on his divine chest. When we go and surrender unto him, if he starts counting our defects [to punish us], she will pacify him saying as in SrI rAmAyaNam yudhdha kANdam 116-45 “nakaSchin nAparAdhyathi” (there is none who has not committed a wrongful deed).
