Simple translation
On the matters relating to the lord who remained fixed with the cow herd and protected them and who is mercifully resting in SrIrangam which is a decoration for bhUlOkam, thirumangai AzhwAr, who is having desirable SrIvaishNavaSrI, mercifully composed these ten pAsurams in the form of thamizh songs which are abundantly famous and are well fixed on the tongue; sins on their own, will not come close to those who learnt these pAsurams, remaining fixed on them.
Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
Amaruvi … – Remaining fixed with the cows which don’t have any thing in them for their protection and protected them; such simplicity is considered to be supremacy when we see his total simplicity in SrIrangam. AzhwAr who is having vaishNavalakshmi (wealth of vaishNavam) which is desirable for all, composed these pAsurams with music.
nA maruvu … – Even without the help of mind, if we place these pAsurams on tongue once, they will remain fixed on the tongue.
maruvi vallAr – On those who have learnt this decad with their heart, while they are not thinking “we should get rid of these sins”, the sins, on their own, will run away thinking “this person is not our abode”.
