nAchchiyAr thirumozhi was composed by ANdAL, the divine daughter of periyAzhwAr. It is said that she had composed this dhivya prabandham (divine composition) when she was just five years old. ANdAL was brought up by periyAzhwAr by listening to the divine deeds of kaNNan (krishNa) in thiruvAyppAdi (SrI gOkulam). She developed a divine love towards emperumAn from her infant days. This love developed into bhakthi (devotion) towards emperumAn, resulting in the composition of this dhivya prabandham.
