Simple translation

My lord plucked the large tusk of kuvalayApeedam, which is having anger, which is unbearable, strong feet and huge trunk; he broke the blossomed kurundha tree; he tore bakAsura’s mouth; he crushed and killed the bulls; such emperumAn is mercifully present in thirumaNik kUdam where the female monkey ate mangoes, left there and came to eat the sweet banana fruits in the plantain trees to have the beetles disperse and run away.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

thAngu arum … – Just as plucking green leaves, my lord effortlessly plucked the large tusk of kuvalayApeedam, which is having anger, which is unbearable, strong feet and huge trunk; he broke the beautiful kurundha trees which was fully blossomed; he tore bakAsura’s mouth; and killed the seven bulls.

mAngani … – Female monkey which ate the mango, thought “we should spend our time enjoying a different taste”, went and ate the banana fruits, to disperse the beetles which had gathered there to consume honey. Just as emperumAn would not spend his time, without eliminating the enemies, these monkeys too would not spend their time, without enjoying different tastes.
