Being vAmanan, who is having aptly praiseworthy form, accepted the earth as charity; the abode of my lord, krishNa, who is the leader of my clan, is the dhivyadhESam named thirukkUdalUr where the beetles, living in the gardens, drinking honey from the flowers placed on the hair of the farmers who can plough in the mud with the plough, are singing.
Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)
kURREr … – Accepting the form of vAmanan who is having the desire as said in “mamEtham” (why should I not have it?); alternative explanation – one who is having the form of vAmanan, where whoever saw that proclaimed “What an amazing dwarf form!” This is the abode where emperumAn, who is the lord of my clan and who remained as if he accepted something which did not originally belong to him, by measuring the whole earth after accepting water, made me exist fully for him by that act.
sERREr … – The farmers who can run through their plough even in very muddy fields, were donning flowers on their hair. The beetles which drank from those flowers will sing more beautifully, even better than after drinking from fresh flowers on trees.
kOl thEn – Beetles from the gardens.
