Simple translation

emperumAn is having the shining, divine chakra in his beautiful divine hand; he is having the divine chest where periya pirAttiyAr is eternally residing; he is having all the entities identified by vEdhams which are of four categories, as his forms; the abode of such emperumAn who is greater than all is thiruvahindhrapuram. The beetles which are in the densely present mAdhavi creeper sheds in the mountain slopes, are singing “thennA! thenA!” and humming sweet songs for their female counter-parts while entering blossoming lotus.

Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)

minnum … – sarvESvara lakshaNam (Identity of being supreme lord) is holding the divine chakra without shaking, being the husband of lakshmi, being known from vEdham only; all these three are present.

minnum Azhi am kai avan – One who is holding divine chakra in his hand, like a lightning occurs in a cloud.

seyyavaL … – Having periya pirAttiyAr in his divine chest, just as a streak of lightning, embracing his divine chest.

pannu … – Being greater than all since he alone remains the prakAri (substratum) and has all other entities which are mentioned in four types of vast vEdhams as his prakAram. He said in SrI bhagavath gIthA 15.15 “vEdhaiScha sarvair ahamEva vEdhya:” (I am only spoken about in all of vEdhams). purusha sUktham “hrISchathE …” (SrI bhUmip pirAtti and SrI mahAlakshmi are your divine consorts). yajur vEdham “asyESAnA jagathO vishNu pathnI” (One who is leader of the world due to being the divine consort of vishNu).

varai … – The life of the animals there is similar to the constant romantic fights which occur between pirAtti and bhagavAn in their divine togetherness. The beetles which went to drink honey in the dense mAdhavi sheds in the mountain slope, showed their romantic anger blaming each other; at that time the female beetles vowed saying “Let me see how you live” towards their male counter-parts and entered the well blossomed lotus flowers; since the male beetles cannot live without their pairs even for a moment as said in SrI rAmAyaNam sundhara kANdam 36.42 “naivadhamSAn” (SrI rAma does not realise what crawls on him) and in SrI rAmAyaNam sundhara kANdam 36.10 “na jIvEyam” (I cannot live without sIthA even for a moment); they suffered in this manner, tried in various ways and even tried to please the female beetles by trying to compromise; still the female beetles did not heed to the male beetles; they thought “What to do?” and “They will not abandon us; they are only hiding to see how we are suffering; let us sing and make them come out”

pinnum mAdhavi pandhalil pedai vara – To make the female beetles which had entered the freshly blossomed lotus flowers, give up their romantic anger and show their face, they also entered those flowers and sang with tune. A person who accepted some service will not be able to blame. It is also said that enmity can be eliminated through songs; it is said in thiruvAimozhi 9.9.9 “… pEdhai nenjaRavaRap pAdum pAttai …” (We are unable to comprehend in any manner the song which he sang to have the separation which happened due to the love-fight in the young girls’ hearts, eliminated fully).
