Full Series<\/a><\/p>\n << Previous<\/a><\/p>\n Sakshat phalaika lakshyatva pratipaththi pavithritham \/<\/span><\/i> (w to w)<\/span> Sakshat phala – <\/span><\/i>in doing <\/span>mangalasasanam<\/span><\/i> to <\/span>Bhagavan<\/span><\/i> which is the fruition of preaching of <\/span>Dvaya Mantra<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>eka<\/span><\/i> lakshyatva pratipaththi pavithritham<\/span><\/i> – purified by mere thinking, <\/span>Mantra ratnam<\/span><\/i> \u00a0– <\/span>Dvaya Mantra<\/span><\/i>, which is called <\/span>Mantra Ratna<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>prayachchantham<\/span><\/i> \u00a0– preaching, <\/span>varavaram munim<\/span><\/i> \u00a0– Alagiya Manavala Mamuni, <\/span>vande<\/span><\/i> \u00a0– I pay my obeisance.<\/span><\/p>\n (commentary)<\/span> By preaching <\/span>Dvaya Mantra <\/span><\/i>to his disciples, Mamunigal thinks disciples change themselves to perform <\/span>mangalasasanam<\/span><\/i> to <\/span>Bhagavan.<\/span><\/i> \u00a0If only He thinks so, His <\/span>upadesa<\/span><\/i> will attain purity. Hence, it can be said that Mamunigal preached <\/span>Dvaya Mantra<\/span><\/i> to Erumbiappa at the highest order of purity.<\/span><\/p>\n If one does not preach as stated above but preaches with the intention of 1.Benefits of money, service etc. of mundane matter, 2. Liberating disciple to attain \u00a0<\/span>moksha<\/span><\/i>, \u00a03. His service to <\/span>Bhagavan <\/span><\/i>by regulating a disciple, and 4. To avoid his seclusion by keeping the company of disciple, then the purity of such <\/span>Upadesa<\/span><\/i> is lessened. \u00a0It is natural a \u00a0question may arise, that is it not for Acharya who lives in this world to need money and service, sending disciple to <\/span>moksha<\/span><\/i>, \u00a0perform service to <\/span>Bhagavan<\/span><\/i> in lifetime, and good relationship with disciple by Acharya? \u00a0All these are good only and not bad. By considering these as benefits of <\/span>Dvaya Mantra Upadesa<\/span><\/i>, how will they diminish its purity? To answer this \u2013 In the matter of Acharya, a disciple who thinks that whatever little he contributes by serving his Acharya, matches the first benefit above. Secondly with this thinking of \u00a0<\/span>Bhagavan<\/span><\/i>, who anticipates for a person, directs him to an Acharya to get <\/span>Dvaya Upadesa<\/span><\/i> and then enable him to come to Him by attaining \u00a0<\/span>moksha<\/span><\/i>. Third, with the thinking of Acharya, he trains the disciple to become a good disciple by doing <\/span>Upadesa<\/span><\/i> for performing <\/span>mangalasasanam<\/span><\/i> to <\/span>Bhagavan<\/span><\/i> which is agreeable to <\/span>Bhagvan<\/span><\/i>. With this Acharya will get the opportunity of service to Lord. \u00a0Fourth, \u00a0a disciple, who for a long time behaved with <\/span>ahankara <\/span><\/i>and<\/span> mamakara, <\/span><\/i>which ruined his originality and later he, who thinks always with gratitude for having moulded by an Acharya in doing <\/span>mangalasasanam<\/span><\/i> to <\/span>Bhagavan<\/span><\/i>, that disciple would like to have an inseparable relationship with an Acharya. Hence, Acharya does not consider the benefit for moulding \u00a0a disciple in the matter of performing <\/span>mangalasasanam<\/span><\/i> to <\/span>Bhagavan<\/span><\/i> thereby attaching purity to his tutelage. In this way, Mamunigal did <\/span>Dvaya Mantra Upadesa <\/span><\/i>to Erumbiappa. It is to be noted that he did this <\/span>upadesa <\/span><\/i>by resting his thoughts at the feet of Emberumanar, as Emberumanar is superior in our <\/span>Acharya Ghosti<\/span><\/i>. It is ordained that <\/span>Dvaya Mantra<\/span><\/i> is to be meditated after meditating <\/span>Guruparamapara<\/span><\/i>. This was earlier explained in the Sloka 16 line \u2018<\/span>Yathindra Charanathdvanthva pravanenayva chethasa<\/span><\/i>\u2019 Hence, this serves as a reminder to think of Acharyas before and after <\/span>Emberumanar <\/span><\/i>when one meditates on<\/span> Dvaya Mantra<\/span><\/i>. \u00a0Among the five parts which are to be practiced by <\/span>Sri Vaishnavas<\/span><\/i>, Mamunigal practiced <\/span>Upadanam<\/span><\/i>, to collect the things for submitting to <\/span>Bhagavan<\/span><\/i>, by accepting Erumbiappa as a disciple and moulded him as a servant to collect things for <\/span>Bhagavan<\/span><\/i>.
