In order for me to do that, what is the relationship that you and I have? Is there a relationship in the first place between you and me?\u201d <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> replies to this imaginary question that he posed himself and says \u201cOh! <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnArE<\/a>!!! Yes. There is a relationship between you and me. The relationship is established via adiyen\u2019s AchAryan <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/19\/thiruvaimozhi-pillai\/\">thiruvAimozhip piLLai<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>pAsuram 12<\/strong><br \/>\nthesam thigazhum thiruvAimozhip piLLai<br \/>\nmAsil thirumalaiyAzhvAr ennai<br \/>\nnEsaththAl eppadiyE eNNi ninbAl sErththAr<br \/>\nethirAsA appadiyE nI seydharuL<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/yourlisten.com\/sarathy.thothathri\/arththi-prabandham-12\">Listen<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><iframe style=\"width: 100%;\" src=\"\/\/yourlisten.com\/embed\/html5?17808798\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<strong>Word-by-Word Meanings:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>thesam \u2013 All the worlds<br \/>\nthigazhum \u2013 bright and sparkling with glories<br \/>\nthiruvAimozhip piLLai \u2013 thiruvAimozhip piLLAi, whose very existence and sustenance is by means of thiruvAimozhi, as revealed by his name<br \/>\nmAsil \u2013 the one who is devoid of blemishes that stems from regarding oneself as AchAryan<br \/>\nthirumalaiyAzhvAr \u2013 who is also known as SriSailanAtha<br \/>\nennai \u2013 me, who is recipient of his infinite compassion<br \/>\nnEsaththAl \u2013 out of his mercy<br \/>\neppadiyE eNNi \u2013 he thought of how will I be liberated<br \/>\nninbAl \u2013 at your divine lotus feet\u00a0 that is the sole refuge of all<br \/>\nsErththAr \u2013 how he got me at your lotus feet<br \/>\nethirAsA &#8211; emperumAnArE<br \/>\nappadiyE nI seydharuL \u2013 You also should bless me and get me liberated<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Simple Translation <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In this pAsuram, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> requests <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">SrI rAmAnuja<\/a> to liberate him by his divine blessings. <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> raises an imaginary question in mind in which <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">SrI rAmAnuja<\/a> asks him the reason \/ relationship that he shares with him in order for him to bless. <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> answers that the relationship between him and <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">SrI rAmAnuja<\/a> has been established by <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/19\/thiruvaimozhi-pillai\/\">thiruvAimozhippiLLai<\/a>, the AchAryan of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a>. He says that it was <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/19\/thiruvaimozhi-pillai\/\">thiruvAimozhippiLLai <\/a>who showed mercy upon him and thought of an idea to liberate him. Subsequently, he showed <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> the lotus feet of <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">SrI rAmAnuja<\/a> and take them as the sole refuge in order to get liberated.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Explanation <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> in the first two lines of this pAsuram, explains the glories of his beloved AchAryan <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/19\/thiruvaimozhi-pillai\/\">thiruvAimozhip piLLai<\/a>. He says to emperumAnAr, \u201cOh! <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnArE<\/a>! adiyEn\u2019s AchAryan <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/19\/thiruvaimozhi-pillai\/\">thiruvAimozhip piLLai <\/a>surrendered at the lotus feet of <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar\/\">nammAzhvAr<\/a>. Subsequently, he surrendered at your lotus feet. He did not take refuge at any other person who is\u00a0 not regarded as \u201cSEshi\u201d or master, that includes SrIvaishNava pUrvAchAryas only. He was a person who was replete with knowledge, devotion towards spiritual matters and hatred in mundane materialistic pleasures. His fame and glory was not confined to just one place but it spread across all directions in the world. As could be evinced from his name, his very sustenance and existence was through <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a>. If <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\">thiruvAimozhi <\/a>was removed, he would not live any more. He did not have any blemish including the likes of proclaiming himself as an AchAryan which is considered as a cruel deed. He, who is also known as \u201cSailanAtha\u201d, who showed extreme mercy and compassion towards me and thought of ways to liberate me.
