From this pAsuram onwards, he goes ahead and expresses what he yearns in his heart. Specifically in this pAsuram, he describes that&nbsp;<span style=\"line-height: 1.71429; font-size: 1rem;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">SrI rAmAnuja<\/a><\/span> is the all possible relation for him. Yet in order for that to fructify in its fullest state, the physical body that stands as an obstacle, has to drop out. <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/23\/azhagiya-manavala-mamunigal\/\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a>&nbsp;asks why doesn\u2019t this obstacle go away.<\/p>\n<p><strong>pAsuram 3<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>thandhai naRRAy thAram thanayar perunjelvam<br \/>\nenRanakku nIyE ethirAsA indha nilaikku<br \/>\nErAdha ivvudalai inRE aRuththaruLap<br \/>\npArAdhadhu ennO pagar<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/yourlisten.com\/sarathy.thothathri\/arththi-prabandham-3-2\">Listen<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><iframe \u00a0=\"\" src=\"\/\/yourlisten.com\/embed\/html5?17808968\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"width:100%;\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>ethirAsA \u2013 Oh yathirAja !!!<br \/>\nen thanakku \u2013 For me<br \/>\nnIyE \u2013 you and only you are my<br \/>\nthandhai &#8211; father<br \/>\nnal thAy \u2013 &nbsp;my mother who has vAthsalyam (the quality of treasuring a blemish as blessing)<br \/>\nthAram \u2013 my wife<br \/>\nthanayar \u2013 my child<br \/>\nperum selvam \u2013 my great wealth<br \/>\nindha \u2013 (However) this<br \/>\nnilaikku \u2013 particular thought (I am not able to continue forever)<br \/>\nErAdha \u2013 because this thought cannot coexist with<br \/>\nivvudalai \u2013 this physical body<br \/>\npagar \u2013 please tell me<br \/>\nennO \u2013 what is the reason that?<br \/>\npArAdhadhu \u2013 (you have) not graced and<br \/>\naruLa \u2013 not bless me<br \/>\ninRE \u2013 right away<br \/>\naRuththu \u2013 to destroy this body of mine and<\/p>\n<p><strong>Simple Translation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.71429; font-size: 1rem;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/23\/azhagiya-manavala-mamunigal\/\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> asks <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">SrI rAmAnuja <\/a>the reason why he does not bless him by taking away his physical body. Only if that happens, he can have a continual experience of a thought that he has now in this world. <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/23\/azhagiya-manavala-mamunigal\/\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> considers&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">SrI rAmAnuja<\/a> as his father, his mother, his wife, his children, his eternal wealth and much more. But this thought does not seem to be eternal while being in this earth and is temporal. This is the reason <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/23\/azhagiya-manavala-mamunigal\/\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> asks <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">SrI rAmAnuja<\/a> as to what prevents him in taking him to his fold so that he can have the thought without any interruption.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Explanation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/23\/azhagiya-manavala-mamunigal\/\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> addresses&nbsp;<span style=\"line-height: 1.71429; font-size: 1rem;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">SrI rAmAnuja<\/a><\/span> as the one who is the leader of all yathis (yathirAja). \u201c<em>sElEy kaNNiyarum perunjelvamum nan makkalum mElAththAy thandhaiyum&nbsp; avarE iniyAvArE<\/em> (<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\">thiruvAimozhi <\/a>5.1.8)\u201d and \u201c<em>thvamEva mAthA cha <\/em>(<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/11\/saranagathi-gadhyam\/\">SaraNAgathi gadhyam<\/a>)\u201d are two quotes taken here. maNavALamAmunigaL asks&nbsp;<span style=\"line-height: 1.71429; font-size: 1rem;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">SrI rAmAnuja<\/a><\/span> that it was <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi-english\/\">periya perumAL<\/a> (at srirangam) whom&nbsp;<span style=\"line-height: 1.71429; font-size: 1rem;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">SrI rAmAnuja<\/a><\/span> treated as the father who gives only the good for a child, as a mother who gives the pure love to a child, as a wife who gives pleasures to her husband, as a good son with great virtues and finally as his treasure that give everything. As per <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/01\/alavandhar\/\">AlavandhAr\u2019s<\/a> celebratory pAsuram towards <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">nammAzhvAr <\/a>\u201c<em>mAthA pithA yuvathaya:<\/em> (sthOthra rathnam 5)\u201d, he considered <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nammazhwar\/\">nammAzhvAr<\/a> as his everything.&nbsp; Similarly, <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/23\/azhagiya-manavala-mamunigal\/\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> tells <span style=\"line-height: 1.71429; font-size: 1rem;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">SrI rAmAnuja<\/a><\/span> that the latter is everything for him (<a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/23\/azhagiya-manavala-mamunigal\/\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a>). This is the condition of <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/23\/azhagiya-manavala-mamunigal\/\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> currently. However, he realizes that his physical body poses the biggest threat for this condition to exist eternally. He asks a question to <span style=\"line-height: 1.71429; font-size: 1rem;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">SrI rAmAnuja<\/a><\/span> as to why the latter is not blessing him by taking away his physical body this day right away, the very day and the moment in which <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/23\/azhagiya-manavala-mamunigal\/\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> realized that body is an impediment. <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/23\/azhagiya-manavala-mamunigal\/\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> requests&nbsp;<span style=\"line-height: 1.71429; font-size: 1rem;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">SrI rAmAnuja<\/a><\/span> to answer the question. He further asks him if there is any aspect that is making him worry\/hesitate in blessing him.<\/p>\n<p>In this pAsuram the adjective \u201cnaRRai\u201d is to be broken as \u201cnalla + thAy\u201d. It means a good mother who is characterized by vAthsalyam (the quality by which a person treats a blemish as a blessing). This adjective \u201cnalla\u201d (good) stands as an adjective to all others mentioned in this pAsuram like father, wife, child and wealth. It does not just confine to just the mother.
