In this pAsuram, kindly wake up and bless me who simply seek out to have the vision of your beauitful face while waking up&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/10\/05\/periyavachan-pillai-english\/\">periyavAchchAn piLLai<\/a> highlights\n<ul>\n<li>Here the upakrama (beginning) and upasamhAra (ending) are perfectly in sync\/harmony in this prabandham like few others such as <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a>&#8216;s thiruviruththam (in the first pAsuram, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> says &#8220;<em>adiyEn seyyum viNNappam<\/em>&#8221; and in the last pAsuram he says &#8220;<em>mARan viNNappam seytha<\/em>&#8220;), <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/12\/16\/andal\/\">ANdAL<\/a>&#8216;s thiruppAvai (in the first pAsuram she says &#8220;<em>namakkE paRai tharuvAn<\/em>&#8221; and in the last pAsuram she says &#8220;<em>angap paRai koNda<\/em>&#8220;) and <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/01\/alavandhar\/\">ALavandhAr<\/a>&#8216;s sthOthra rathanam (in the first slOkam he says &#8220;<em>nAthAya munayE<\/em>&#8221; and in the last slOkam he says &#8220;<em>pithAmaham nAthamunim vilOkya<\/em>&#8220;). Here also, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/08\/thondaradippodi-azhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> starts with &#8220;<em>kathiravan guNadhisaich chikaram vanthaNainthAn<\/em>&#8221; in the <a title=\"thiruppaLLiyezhuchchi \u2013 1 \u2013 kathiravan\" href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/?p=598\">first pAsuram<\/a> and ends with &#8220;<em>kathiravan kanaikadal muLaiththanan<\/em>&#8221; in the last pAsuram.<\/li>\n<li>For the lotus flowers blossoming seeing the sun, a beautiful example is given. The women who have very small waist like a udukkai (small hand-held drum) have dried their curly hairs (after completing their bathing), worn their clothes and have reached the banks of the river. (me) This servant (of your holiness) named\u00a0 thoNdaradippodi (the dust of the lotus feet of the bhAgavathas) is manifesting the shining shoulders which carry the flower-basket that contains properly prepared thiruththuzhAi (thuLasi) garlands . (Thus,) you wake kindly wake up, acknowledge that I am a suitable candidate for your blessings and engage me fully in the service the bhAgavathas (your dear servants).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Highlights from the <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/14\/nanjiyar-english\/\">nanjIyar<\/a>\u2018s vyAkyAnam:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The reason for <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/08\/thondaradippodi-azhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> quoting the incident of women with thin waists and curly hairs is to remind <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">periya perumAL<\/a> about the girls of vrindhAvan where the gOpikAs would bathe in the ghats of yamunA and thus wake him up quickly. bhattar used to say &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">periya perumAL<\/a> is kaNNan <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">namperumAL<\/a> is srI rAma&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>First <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">periya perumAL<\/a>&#8216;s identity is revealed by saying &#8220;sUzh punal arangA!&#8221; &#8211; he is identified with srIrangam which is an island in the cauvery river and is his dearest abode. Cauvery river is so pleasant that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">periya perumAL<\/a> forgets about virajA river (which separates srIvaikuNtam and samsAram), sarayu river (ayOdhyA) and yamunA river (mathurA\/vrindhAvan).<\/li>\n<li>Then <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/08\/thondaradippodi-azhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> reveals his own identity of having the flower basket and well prepared garlands which are quite fitting for <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a>&#8216;s glories. Just like iLaiya perumAL (lakshmaNa) was identified in srI rAmAyaNam as the one who was holding a spade (for working in the fields) and a basket (to carry the soil) along with his bow\/arrows to guide perumAL (srI rAma), here <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/08\/thondaradippodi-azhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> is identified with the flower-basket and flowers. This sEshathvam (servitude) is the real wealth for <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\">jIvAthmA<\/a>s.<\/li>\n<li>thoNdaradippodi (dust of the lotus feet of bhAgavathas) &#8211; as the name suggests <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/08\/thondaradippodi-azhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> is situated in the ultimate position of being the servant of <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a>&#8216;s devotees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Highlights from the <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/10\/05\/periyavachan-pillai-english\/\">periyavAchchAn piLLai<\/a>\u2018s vyAkyAnam:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>kadi<\/strong>malar &#8211; fragrant flowers &#8211; It is obvious that the flowers in this srIrangam will be most fragrant since this is the abode of srI mahAlakshmi who is identified in <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\">nammAzhwAr<\/a>&#8216;s thiruvAimozhi 10.10.2 as\u00a0 &#8220;<em>vAsam sey pUnguzhalAL thiru<\/em>&#8221; (the abode of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">srI mahAlakshmi <\/a>whose hair is most fragrant).<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/21\/thiruppanazhwar\/\">thiruppANAzhwAr<\/a> identifies in amalanAdhipirAn 10th pAsuram &#8220;<em>kOvalanAy veNNey uNdA vAyan &#8230; aNi arangan<\/em>&#8221; (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">srIranganAthan<\/a> is the same krishNa who as a cowherd boy ate butter).<\/li>\n<li>The divine conch and disc are <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a>&#8216;s identities as identified in <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\">thirumangai AzhwAr<\/a>&#8216;s periya thirumozhi 11.2.6 &#8220;<em>Azhiyum sangumudaiya nangaLadigaL<\/em>&#8220;. Similarly, the flower-basket is the most important identity of a bhAgavatha&#8217;s identity. <strong>Note:<\/strong> Garland making kainkaryam is glorified as the purest kainkaryam to perform for <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a> in other places as well. Notably, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/20\/periyazhwar\/\">periyAzhwAr<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/08\/thondaradippodi-azhwar\/\">thoNdaradippodi AzhwAr<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/31\/ananthazhwan\/\">ananthAzhwAn<\/a>, etc., have engaged in this pushpa (flower garlands) kainkaryam.<\/li>\n<li>When the extraneous aspects of <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\">AthmA<\/a> are removed, ultimately the <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\">AthmA<\/a> is identified by his sEshathvam (servitude) towards <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a> and his devotees only.<\/li>\n<li>Invalid stage of sEshathvam (servitude) is towards samsAram (materialist people and aspects). First valid stage of sEshathvam (servitude) is towards <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a>. Ultimate stage of sEshathvam (servitude) is towards bhAgavathas.<\/li>\n<li>Why are you still sleeping even after getting a devotee like me who has understood and accepted the ultimate stage of sEshathvam?
