What it says is as follows.<\/p>\n<p>A flower that is in the process of blossoming \u2013 the brightness of its inside that is of reddish hue \u2013 the bottom part of his divine feet is of such nature; top part of his feet is whitish like that of gathered milk; it is with beautiful nails, that are whitish like that of full moon days\u2019 moon. This is explained in rahasya grantham of <em>archirAdhi <\/em>(page \u2013 98). It is said as \u2018<em>amAnava: &#8211; thath purushau amAnava: sa ainAn bramhA gamayathi<\/em> [chAndogya upanishath \u2013 5.10.2]\u2019. For this, as said in \u2018<em>asamsAree vaingutha: purusha:<\/em>\u2019, ranga rAmAnuja muni has done vyAkyanam for this as one who is not a samsAri.<\/p>\n<p><strong>{<\/strong>The following thought suddenly occurred to adiyEn one day while reciting upadhESa raththina mAlai in a temple. Kindly correct adiyEn\u2019s mistakes in this. href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u0b87\u0bb5\u0bb0\u0bc8\u0baa\u0bcd<\/a>\u0baa\u0bcb\u0bb2\u0bc7 <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u0b85\u0bb5\u0bb0\u0bc1\u0bae\u0bcd<\/a> \u2018\u0b93\u0bb0\u0bca\u0bb0\u0bc1\u0bb5\u0bb0\u0bcd\u2019 \u0b87\u0bb1\u0bc7.<\/p>\n<p>Translation:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> thought in his divine mind to write this prabandham in 74 pAsurams, to match the number of seventy four simhAsanAdhipathis established by emperumAnAr. His disciple <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/10\/27\/erumbiappa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">erumbi appA<\/a> wished to add a pAsuram to this in praise of his AchAryan. After thinking about a way for this for a very long time, he went in front of namperumAL and pleaded to Him about this. He too through the archakar told <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">maNavALa mAmunigAL<\/a> to grant this wish; then <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/10\/27\/erumbiappa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">eRumbi appA<\/a> happily added this last pAsuram in to this prabandham \u2013 this is very well known.<\/p>\n<p>There is a wonderful matter for us regarding this. In the vyAkyAnam by <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/04\/08\/pillai-lokam-jiyar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">piLLai lOkam jeeyar<\/a> for the previous pAsuram of <em>\u2018indha upadhEsa raththina mAlai thannai<\/em>\u2019, it is said as:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat this prabandham is having the characteristic of a garland can be seen in the way <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\">he<\/a> has put it together. That is, on one side are the ten <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/azhwars\/\">AzhvArs<\/a>, and then, with <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/12\/16\/andal\/\">ANdAL<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/ponnadi.blogspot.in\/2012\/10\/archavathara-anubhavam-madhurakavi.html\">madhurakavi AzhvAr<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">ethirAjar<\/a> in the center, and then, all the <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\">Acharyas<\/a> before him such as \u2018<em>nAthamuni mudhalAna nam dhEsikar<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/01\/upadhesa-raththina-malai-36\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">upadhEsa raththinamAlai \u2013 36<\/a>]\u2019 (<a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\">preceptors<\/a> starting from <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/22\/nathamunigal\/\">SrIman nAthamunigaL<\/a>) are on the other side of the garland \u2013 this is how <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\">he<\/a> has collected them well together and made it like a garland.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now, like how in the garland of AchArya rathna hAram <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> is set as the last one, here too in this garland <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> is added last in the most distinguished way.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">namperumAL<\/a> who added <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a> there, has, through the archakar, has added him here as well.<\/p>\n<p>He added him there through the samskrutha thaniyan of <em>\u2018SrISailESa dhayA pAthram\u2019 <\/em>and here He has added <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">his AchAryan<\/a> through the thamizh language that his AchAryan (<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">maNavALa mAmunigAL<\/a>) is fond of.<\/p>\n<p>Like <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">his AchAryan<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">He<\/a> too is <em>\u2018Or oruvar\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Concluding comments<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>adiyEn got this wonderful opportunity to live in the world of upadhESa raththina mAlai for the past few weeks while trying to translate into English.<\/p>\n<p>There may be several mistakes in the translation, which adiyEn would be happy to correct those if pointed out.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. M.
