(But) others are considering emperumAn only as means and destiny.<\/p>\n<p>Between these two, what is the way \u2013 he (<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a>) talks to his mind, the means and goal mentioned in the two sentences of <em>dhvayam<\/em> would not stop without going up to the last stage (considering means and goal as AchAryan), so these are the words of those who do not know this.<\/p>\n<p>As said in \u2018<em>athra parathra chApi<\/em> [sthOthra rathnam &#8211; 2]\u2019 (in material world and in paramapadham), since gratefulness towards divine feet of AchAryan is present in the <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AthmA<\/a> (until eternity &#8211; <em>yAvadhAthmabhAvi) <\/em>whether being here are there, and even after going there, one performs kainkaryam to Him as part of AchAryan\u2019s happiness, considering that happiness as the goal.<\/p>\n<p>So, he (<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a>) is saying, so do not become ignorant after listening to their words that are different, and do follow the conduct of precepts who remove the ignorance.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>AchAryargaL anaivarum, <\/em><\/strong>etc. \u2013 There are \u2013 not just one or two, but \u2013 starting from <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SrI madhura kavigaL<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/22\/nathamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nAthamunigaL<\/a>, upto <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/19\/thiruvaimozhi-pillai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhip piLLai<\/a> are our <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AchAryas<\/a> before us, who, for us who have come after them, to be able to follow, have as successive tradition (<em>paramparA<\/em>) followed the service to their AchAryan\u2019s divine feet as their kainkaryam, and the AchAryan\u2019s divine feet as the means as said in \u2018<em>pidiththAr pidiththAraip paRRi<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 6.10.11, and, iyal sARRu]\u2019, and so they all have bestowed this to us in the same way, and they all also followed it as said in \u2018<em>AcharathIthyAchAra:<\/em> [vyuthpathti &#8211; root]\u2019 (AchAram is doing that in action) \u2013 consider such pure conduct that matches the knowledge gained;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/acharyas_paramparai_gif.gif\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-7108\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7108\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/acharyas_paramparai_gif.gif\" alt=\"acharyas_paramparai_gif\" width=\"450\" height=\"638\" \/><\/a><em>Chain of preceptors<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>aRiyAdhAr \u2013 <\/strong>Those who have not known this by going close to those <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AchAryas<\/a>, as students and staying, learning, seeing, and hearing from the <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AchAryas<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>pEsuginra vArththaigaLai \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>As said in \u2018<em>kURum samayangaL<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/07\/ramanusa-nurranthadhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rAmAnusa nURRanthAdhi<\/a> &#8211; 46]\u2019 (the other philosophies), having only formation of words (<em>yukthi sAram), <\/em>and without meanings, and of shallow knowledge, the words they say that occurred to their bad mind;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>vArththaigaLaik kEttu maruLAdhE <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 So do not confuse yourself hearing their words that have no basis. They are the ones who would be like \u2018<em>Apaththaip pOkkik koLLugirOm enRu bhramiththu <\/em>[SrI vachana bhUshaNam &#8211; 63]<em>\u2019 <\/em>(getting confused thinking they are getting rid of danger (and doing something that which creates danger), and would be \u2018<em>uthkrushtamAga bhramiththa<\/em> [SrI vachana bhUshaNam &#8211; 213]<em>\u2019<\/em> (~thinking that they are of higher birth).<\/p>\n<p>So their words also would be of confusion.<\/p>\n<p>Since they are \u2018<strong><em>kEttu aRiyAdhAr pEsuginRa varththaigaL<\/em>\u2019 <\/strong>(words of those who have not learned in aforementioned ways), such words would be such that they would create destruction of knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike (will be) said in \u2018<em>pUruvAchAriyargaL bhOdham anuttAnangaL kURuvAr vArththaigaLaik koNdu neer thERi <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2016\/02\/upadhesa-raththina-malai-72\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">upadhEsa raththina mAlai \u2013 72<\/a>]\u2019 (learn as is from those who say according to what they learned from the preceptors), those others are not that way where it enlightens. So do not get confused and end up going in any which way by listening to those others;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>pUruvargaL seerththa nilai thannai nenjE sEr<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 That is, being like <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">madhurakavi AzhvAr<\/a>, and having glorious history \u2013 that is our <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pUrvAchAryas<\/a>; Oh mind! Be determined to think about their state <em>(nishtai)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>seermai &#8211; <\/em><\/strong>Glory of it is the glory shown in the \u2018<em>seerththa madhurakavi sey kalai<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/12\/upadhesa-raththina-malai-26\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">upadhEsa raththina mAlai &#8211; 26<\/a>]\u2019 (<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/01\/kanninun-chiru-thambu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">prabandham of<\/a> glorious <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">madhurakavi AzhvAr<\/a>); (that is, about servitude to AchAryan).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>nilai<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 is <em>nishtai<\/em> \u2013 that is, what is shown in the three words of <a href=\"http:\/\/ponnadi.blogspot.com\/2015\/12\/rahasya-thrayam.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thirumanthram<\/a> that are <em>SEshithvam <\/em>(being the chief)<em>, SaraNyathvam <\/em>(being the shelter)<em>, and prApyathvam<\/em> (being the destiny) \u2013 instead of stopping these at the level of <em>prathama parvam<\/em> (first stage, that is emperumAn), inquiring and taking it to the level of <em>charama parvam <\/em>(ultimate stage, that is AchAryan) \u2013 the <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AchAryas<\/a>&#8216; state of being in that ultimate state as per the meaning shown by those three words.<\/p>\n<p>Oh mind!
