to get up and join them, and they pleaded with the guards of His house to permit them in, and through nandhagOpar, yasOdhai, nappinnai, nambimUththapirAn (balarAmar), they have come to Him. krishNan thought that if he had gone to them as per norm, then these little gOpikAs would not have had to go through all these in the cold early morning;<\/p>\n<p>so he calms them down with sweet words (madhura bhAshaNam) like he committed mistake (like how he felt he committed mistake of delaying due to having to convince sugrIvan to accept vibishaNan, spoke to vibIshaNan with sweet words) ; {so their assertion of &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/?p=434#AvA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AvA enRu Arayndhu aruL<\/a>&#8216; (will happily inquire us ) became true }; in a mountain cave<br \/>\nsIriya singam &#8211; majestic\/angry lion<br \/>\nmannk kidandhu &#8211; which is deeply set (together with the lioness) and,<br \/>\nuRangum &#8211; sleeping,<br \/>\naRivuRRu &#8211; (would) get up after waking up (after that season),<br \/>\nthI vizhiththu &#8211; open the flaming fiery eyes<br \/>\npErndhu &#8211; and move<br \/>\neppAdum &#8211; on all sides<br \/>\nudhaRi &#8211; and shake (its body)<br \/>\nvEri mayir &#8211; (such that its) fragrant mane (hair)<br \/>\nponga &#8211; (would) rise around,<br \/>\nmUri nimirndhu &#8211; (then it would) stand erect and straighten up its body, and<br \/>\nmuzhangi &#8211; roar, and<br \/>\npuRappattu &#8211; exit (the den)<br \/>\npOdharum A pOlE &#8211; and come out;<br \/>\npUvaip pU vaNNA &#8211; (likewise,) Oh you who is of the color like kAyAmpU (flower)<br \/>\nnI &#8211; on the majestic throne<br \/>\nkOppu udaiya &#8211; that is having nice shape and set up,<br \/>\nArAyndhu aruL &#8211; (and then) inquire about and fulfill<br \/>\nyAm vandha kAriyam &#8211; the requirements for which we have come.<\/p>\n<h3>Simple Translation<\/h3>\n<p><strong>mAri malai muzhainjil<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Like the kings who stay in a place and not go for wars during rainy season, the lion would stay in the caves and not go out during that time.<\/p>\n<p>Like how perumAL (srI rAman) stayed in the cave of mAlyavAn during rainy season while sugrIvan stayed with his family, such rainy season is for the lovers to meet, and for the ones who have met to enjoy their time together; this time is also such, but we are at your door with the longing; you are wasting the minutes instead of to us and helping us join you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>mannik kidandhu uRangum<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since you don&#8217;t have to be afraid of anyone, you are deeply set in your bed, like the peak is well set on the mountain.<\/p>\n<p>You are set in your bed together with your wife nappinnai pirAtti (like how they said earlier &#8216;<a href=\"divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/?p=656\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>nappinnai kongai mEl vaiththu <strong>kidandha<\/strong> malar mArbhA<\/em><\/a>&#8216;), as if there is only one thing together,\u00a0 or, like you are an ornament on nappinnai pirAtti.<\/p>\n<p>uRangum \u2013 unlike samsAris who really sleep, you are just closing your eyes deeply thinking about ways of helping the samsAris. They are reminded of such a sleep here.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\">AchAryas<\/a> and srIvaishNavas study vEdhas, upanishadhs, <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dhivya prabandhams<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">granthams<\/a> all their life, dwelling in their meanings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>sIriya singam<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lion having the greatness of valor, such that it is feared by other animals even when it is sleeping. (as enjoyed by pirAtti), perumAL (srI rAman) is majestic even while sleeping. They are reminded of such a sleep here.<\/p>\n<p><strong>aRivuRRu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>samsAris wake up when realizing it is time; you wake up to accept adiyArs&#8217; kainkaryam.<\/p>\n<p><strong>thI vizhiththu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When the lion first opens its flaming eyes it is scary even for the lioness to look at it. They imply that in front of the thEjas of <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Iswaran<\/a> the enemies cannot stand in front of Him.<\/p>\n<p><strong>vEri mayir ponga<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>vEri mayir \u2013 fragrance (from your hair, smell that is present in lions)<\/p>\n<p>ponga \u2013 shaking your hair;<\/p>\n<p>They are reminded about <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a> who is described as <em>sarva gandha: <\/em>(his body contains all types of fragrances).<\/p>\n<p><strong>eppAdum pErndhu udhari<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since you don&#8217;t have to put any effort for doing anything, leisurely you shake your head (and get rid of sleepiness).<\/p>\n<p>udhari- shaking various parts of your body.<\/p>\n<p><strong>mUri nimirndhu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Straightening out all parts of your body together<\/p>\n<p><strong>muzhangi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hearing your roar all other animals (enemies) would fear for their life.<\/p>\n<p>Please get up and come with all your power in front of us little girls, and ask us &#8216;Oh have you girls come here?&#8217; (&#8220;<em>\u0baa\u0bc6\u0ba3\u0bcd\u0b95\u0bbe\u0bb3\u0bcd! \u0bb5\u0ba8\u0bcd\u0ba4\u0bbf\u0b95\u0bcb\u0bb3\u0bbe<\/em>&#8220;)<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Like a lion that would straighten up its body and start its day afresh, krishNA! you come with full energy\/enthusiasm and open your door for us&#8221;;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Is lion the right comparison for me?&#8221;;<\/p>\n<p><strong>nI pUvaippU vaNNA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We compared it to you for its majesty, but, it does not match your beauty and color \u2013 those qualities of yours are like the flower (called pUvaippU &#8211; blackish\/bluish colored flower).\u00a0 Isn&#8217;t only when the flower&#8217;s color would be an exact match to you, then the lion also would be an exact match to you?<\/p>\n<p><strong>un kOilninru inganE pOndhu aruLi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>please walk from your bed room (from antha:puram) (to your throne)<\/p>\n<p>we want to see the four great types of your walk \u2013 your walk that is like a Bull&#8217;s pride, an Elephant&#8217;s respect, Tiger&#8217;s anger, and Lion&#8217;s charisma. We can see these in the beauty of namperumAL&#8217;s walk \/ <em>\u0ba8\u0bae\u0b95\u0bcd\u0b95\u0bc1 \u0b87\u0bb5\u0bc8\u0baf\u0bc6\u0bb2\u0bcd\u0bb2\u0bbe\u0bae\u0bcd \u0ba8\u0bae\u0bcd\u0baa\u0bc6\u0bb0\u0bc1\u0bae\u0bbe\u0bb3\u0bcd \u0ba8\u0b9f\u0bc8\u0baf\u0bb4\u0b95\u0bbf\u0bb2\u0bc7 \u0b95\u0bbe\u0ba3\u0bb2\u0bbe\u0bae\u0bcd<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>ingane pOndhu aruLi \u2013 not become the words told from the bed &#8211; which can be lies; we want the words from your majestic throne in your big reception.<\/p>\n<p><strong>kOppudaiya<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>the seat that you use for taking care of both the worlds, and for all beings.<\/p>\n<p>Or, having the eight legs of dharmam, gyAnam, vairAgyam, aiswaryam (of directing everything),\u00a0 (and their opposites) adharmam, agyAnam, avairAgyam, anaiswaryam.<\/p>\n<p><strong>sIriya singAsanaththu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Any decisions made from your throne will be final and good \u2013 like your words in the sea shore (chakravarthy thirumagan&#8217;s words during vibIshaNa saraNAgathy that he would protect (give mOksham) for all the related people of the one who does saraNAgathy once), and from the charioteer&#8217;s seat (sarva dharmAn\u2026 by krishNan to arjunan).\u00a0 &#8212; Words from your throne would be wonderful \/ effective even with just krishNan and all the gOpikAs too.<\/p>\n<p>sIriya &#8211; even if it is for someone very small the size of an atom, this throne would give then equal greatness of krishNan.\u00a0 even krishNan cannot tell lies when seated on this.<\/p>\n<p>For <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AchAryas<\/a>, the singAsanam (simhAsanam) is the wooden seat they use when giving blessings to their sishyas; <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAnAr<\/a> establshed 74 &#8216;simhAsanAdhipathis&#8217; (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AchAryas<\/a>). <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAnAr<\/a> is like a lion to those opposed to <a href=\"https:\/\/koyil.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">srIvaishNavam<\/a> \/ visishtAdhvaitham;<\/p>\n<p><strong>irundhu<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In addition to enjoying the beauty of your walk, we want to see the beauty of your sitting in your royal throne. To relax ourselves from our angst we want to see you sitting and giving your word. In thirukurunkudi perumAn is in standing position, but <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nammAzhwAr<\/a> sings &#8216;<em>kaNNiNai kuLirap pudhu malar Agaththaip paruga &#8211; irundhidAi<\/em>&#8216; (thiruvAimozhi 9-2-9), referring to sitting position.<\/p>\n<p><strong>yAm vandha kAriyam ArAyndhu aruL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hear about the reasons for our coming here &#8211; reasons that are not for our own material benefits; and bless for our success in attaining what we wanted.<\/p>\n<p>chakravarthy thirumagan felt bad for not helping the rishis even earlier; krishNan too feels bad that he did not quickly help these gOpikAs; From his bed, he asks them &#8220;what do I need to do for you gOpikAs?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We cannot tell you while you are lying in your bed &#8211; because one could lie when they are lying in their bed. We don&#8217;t have anybody else to go to.\u00a0 So you please come and sit relaxed in your wonderful throne and hear us out&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When there is nappinnai pirAtti for you, you say that you don&#8217;t have any other place to go to&#8221;, he feels bad that he did not hear them out early.<\/p>\n<p>[We go to AchAryan for what kAriyam \u2013 for getting gyAnam; for bhagavath samAshrayaNam (surrender)].<\/p>\n<p>[<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAnAr<\/a>&#8216;s sishya <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/31\/kidambi-achan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kidAmbi AchchAn<\/a> went to thirumAlirunchOlai to do mangalAsAsanam to azhagar perumAn. azhagar asked him to recite a slOkam &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/31\/kidambi-achan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kidAmbi AchchAn<\/a> recited a slOkam from <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/01\/alavandhar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ALavandhAr<\/a>&#8216;s sthOthra rathnam \u2013 when he recited the word &#8216;refugee&#8217; in that sthOthram, azhagar objected to it and said that when there is <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rAmAnujAr<\/a> for all of you {us?!}, one should not use that word anymore. &#8220;<em>\u0ba8\u0bae\u0bcd \u0b87\u0bb0\u0bbe\u0bae\u0bbe\u0ba8\u0bc1\u0b9a\u0ba9\u0bc8 \u0b86\u0b9a\u0bbe\u0bb0\u0bcd\u0baf\u0bb0\u0bbe\u0b95 \u0b89\u0b9f\u0bc8\u0baf\u0bbe\u0bb0\u0bbf\u0bb2\u0bcd \u0b92\u0bb0\u0bc1\u0bb5\u0bb0\u0bc1\u0bae\u0bcd \u0b85\u0b95\u0ba4\u0bbf\u0baf\u0bbf\u0bb2\u0bcd\u0bb2\u0bc8 \u0b95\u0bbe\u0ba3\u0bc1\u0bae\u0bcd&#8221;, &#8220;\u0ba8\u0bae\u0bcd\u0bae\u0bbf\u0bb0\u0bbe\u0bae\u0bbe\u0ba8\u0bc1\u0b9a\u0ba9\u0bc8\u0baf\u0bc1\u0b9f\u0bc8\u0baf\u0bbe\u0baf\u0bbf\u0bb0\u0bc1\u0ba8\u0bcd\u0ba4\u0bc1\u0bb5\u0bc8\u0ba4\u0bcd\u0ba4\u0bc1 \u0ba8\u0bae\u0bcd\u0bae\u0bc1\u0ba9\u0bcd\u0ba9\u0bc7 \u0b87\u0baa\u0bcd\u0baa\u0b9f\u0bbf \u0b9a\u0bca\u0bb2\u0bcd\u0bb2\u0baa\u0bcd\u0baa\u0bc6\u0bb1\u0bbe\u0baf\u0bcd&#8221; \/ nam irAmanusanai AchAryarAga udaiyAril oruvarum agadhi illai kANum\u201d, \u201cnam irAmAnusanai udaiyarAi irundhu vaiththu nam munnE ippadi sollap peRAi\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>There is another aithIhyam where a sishyan himself did not want to use similar words after getting his AchAryan&#8217;s gatAksham (blessing): In <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/01\/alavandhar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ALavandhAr<\/a>&#8216;s sthOthram, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/01\/alavandhar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AlavandhAr<\/a> had said very low of himself as part of being a sEshan to perumAn; But <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/31\/ananthazhwan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ananthAzhwAn<\/a> did not wish to recite that sthOthram to imply the same about himself because he thought that as a sishyan, with his AchArya sambhandham, those things would not be applicable to a sishyan!)]<\/p>\n<p>In this pAsuram <a href=\"http:\/\/ponnadi.blogspot.in\/2012\/10\/archavathara-anubhavam-andal-anubhavam.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ANdAL<\/a> does not give krishNan the details of their kAriyam (their requirements). &#8220;<em>She has kept that for chiRRam siRu kAlE (29) pAsuram&#8221; (\u0bb5\u0ba8\u0bcd\u0ba4 \u0b95\u0bbe\u0bb0\u0bbf\u0baf\u0ba4\u0bcd\u0ba4\u0bc8 \u0b9a\u0bbf\u0bb1\u0bcd\u0bb1\u0b9e\u0bcd\u0b9a\u0bbf\u0bb1\u0bc1 \u0b95\u0bbe\u0bb2\u0bc8\u0b95\u0bcd\u0b95\u0bc1 \u0bb5\u0bc8\u0b95\u0bcd\u0b95\u0bbf\u0bb1\u0bbe\u0bb0\u0bcd<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Why are they not talking about it immediately but are keeping it for later? bharathAzhvAn along with all the people of ayOdhyA went to chakravarthy thirumagan thinking that if we all went to him and fell on his feet then He would be kind and accept his request to go back to ayOdhyA; but since perumAL wanted to fulfill his father\u2019s words \/ busy, this request was not fulfilled immediately \u2013 He gave them His pAdhukas only. So <a href=\"http:\/\/ponnadi.blogspot.in\/2012\/10\/archavathara-anubhavam-andal-anubhavam.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ANdAL<\/a> thinks that she would not hurry but use appropriate time and make sure that krishNan&#8217;s disposition is suitable for her to place her request.<\/p>\n<p>ArAyndhu aruL \u2013 krishNan should ask &#8220;Oh how much you suffered, what all have you done!!
