starting this prabandham with \u2018<strong><em>munnam kuravOr\u2019.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That is, previously those earlier to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/18\/pillai-lokacharyar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">piLLai lOkAchAryar<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pUrvAchAryas<\/a> who are our heads, had divined the dhivya sUkthis as advise for all the <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AthmAs<\/a> \u2013 according to his accepted faith in them that he published his rahasya grantham and spread their words.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>mozhindha vachanangaL \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>their divine words for everyone to know; (explanation for this being plural) &#8211; as they are many such persons (whom we have faith in), their divine words are also many in number.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>vachanangaL thannai migak koNdu \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>As said in \u2018<em>dharmagyasamaya: pramANam | vEdhAscha<\/em> [Apasthamba Suthram 1.1.1,2,3]\u2019 (main reference (pramANam) is of the way of those who know dharma; vEdham is also a reference), even though there are other references, since those preceptors are fully involved in them, their dhivya sUkthis being the best manthras is what he (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/18\/pillai-lokacharyar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">piLLai lOkAchAryar<\/a>) took as main reference, and authored this grantham filled with their divine words.<\/p>\n<p>Like how those constructing an ornament would first collect all the gems and then construct it, he too is constructing vachana bhUshaNam as he collected preceptors\u2019 divine words that are full of meanings.<\/p>\n<p>As said in \u2018<em>suvyAhruthAni mahathAm sukruthAni thathasthatha: | sanchinvan dhIra AsItha silAhAree silam yathA<\/em> [bhAratham udhyOka parvam \u2013 34.31]\u2019 (~ he is like one who collects all good deeds said by noble elders) .<\/p>\n<p>If asked, in this way for whom is he doing this using their words \u2013<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>kaRROr tham uyirkku<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 to give honours to the learned. That is, in the presence of <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AchAryas<\/a> who aim for our wellness, for the nature of those who learned everything that is to be learned from those <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AchAryas<\/a>; it is to be said \u2018<em>nin thiruvettezhuththum kaRRu<\/em> [periya thirumozhi &#8211; 8.10.3]\u2019 (learned from understanding the meaning of thiruvashtAksharam (manthram of eight words), <em> and \u2018aRiyak kaRRu vallAr<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> &#8211; 5.5.11]\u2019 (those who learned with understanding of meanings).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>min aNiyA<\/em> \u2013 <\/strong>As an ornament that is having light that can brighten the true nature of such learned people.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>uyirkku min aNiyA \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>Among those who make ornaments for the transient body, he made this ornament for the <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AthmA<\/a>, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>uyirukku min aNiyA \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>It is like a kausthubha for a kausthubha (celebrated jewel). It is being \u2018<em>vaikuNta priya kaNta bhUshaNa<\/em> [<a href=\"http:\/\/ponnadi.blogspot.in\/2013\/11\/aippasi-anubhavam-pillai-lokacharyar-srivachana-bhushanam-thanians.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SrI vachana bhUshaNam thaniyan<\/a>].<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>min aNiyA chEra samaiththavarE \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>making it come together as a glittering jewel; making it come together to match the true nature of <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/06\/thathva-thrayam-chith-who-am-i\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AthmA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He who formed together with the sayings of the earlier <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AchAryas<\/a>, is the one (who named that grantham).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>samaikka<\/em><\/strong> is to mean \u2013 to make. That is how their clan\u2019s words are, like in <em>\u2018Aranjamaikka\u2019.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>samaiththavarE seer vachana bhUdaNam ennum pEr ikkalaikku ittAr pin<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 That is, like how one who puts together an ornament would name it, he who authored the collection of their words as an ornament of words, that <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/18\/pillai-lokacharyar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">piLLai lOkAchAryar<\/a> himself gave a best name to his prabandham, as SrI vachana bhUshaNam.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>pin<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 After putting together the prabandham. After divining those rahasyams.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>avarE pEr ittAr<\/em> &#8211; <\/strong>Like said in \u2018<em>pithA purthrasya nAmakuryAth <\/em>(Father should give name to his son), <em>like how his father gave the best name for him, <\/em>he who is like a mother who gave birth to this grantham too gave a very special name to it. Through this prabandham only his dynasty of knowledge is progressing without any break.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/pillailokacharyar-nayanar.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6681\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6681\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/pillailokacharyar-nayanar.jpg\" alt=\"pillailokacharyar-nayanar\" width=\"542\" height=\"311\" \/><\/a><em>Two best names &#8211; piLLai lOkAchAryar, his brother azhagiya maNavALap perumAL nAyanAr<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>vachana bhUdaNam enn(um) pEr \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>jIyar himself divined his divining in the beginning of the vyAkyAnam for SrI vachana bhUshaNam as \u2013 \u2018like how an ornament made of gems is called ornament of gems (rathna bhUshaNam), this being full of words of <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AchAryas<\/a> and gives enlightenment to those who use it, this got the divine name of vachana bhUshaNam\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>vachana bhUdanam en(num) pEr ikkalaikku ittAr pin \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>For this splendid SAsthram, he gave a name that is splendid.
