saying so<br \/>\n<em>nal nenjE<\/em> \u2013 oh good mind<br \/>\n<em>nee<\/em> \u2013 you<br \/>\n<em>solli<\/em> \u2013 say<br \/>\n<em>adhanai<\/em> \u2013 that greatness<br \/>\n<em>inRu<\/em> \u2013 now (today)<br \/>\n<em>Eththu<\/em> \u2013 and praise.<\/p>\n<p><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(<strong><em>nam<\/em><\/strong> =&gt; my\/our (dear)).<\/p>\n<p>Now, after talking about vakuLabhUshaNa (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nammAzhvAr<\/a>) dhivya prabandha <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">vyAkyAnams<\/a>, he (<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a>) wishes to divine about its core meanings said in SrI vachana bhUshaNam which shows the excellence of ways (nishtAkramam), and so he is setting up for it here.<\/p>\n<p>If asking how \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">he<\/a> is divining one pAsuram each in three pAsurams now, about <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">namperumAL<\/a> et al who were talked about in previous pAsurams, as to how they got such wonderful names; and while doing that he talks about the reason for <a href=\"\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/16\/nampillai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nampiLLai<\/a> getting the name of <a href=\"\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/16\/nampillai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lOkAchAryar<\/a>, and that this name was the reason for the name of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/18\/pillai-lokacharyar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">piLLai lOkAchAryar<\/a>, and due to him how the name was spread everywhere.<\/p>\n<p>Out of that, in this pAsuram, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">he<\/a> divines about how those starting from <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">namperumAL<\/a> who were talked about in earlier pAsurams got such wonderful names, by starting this pAsuram with<strong> \u2018<em><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">namperumAL<\/a>\u2019.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">namperumAL<\/a> &#8211; <\/strong><\/em>That is, as said in \u2018<em>ivai ellAm namakku <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">namperumAL<\/a> pakkalilE kANalAm<\/em> [mumukshuppadi \u2013 141]\u2019 (~ we can see these auspicious qualities in <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">namperumAL<\/a> (at SrIrangam)), such <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">namperumAL<\/a><\/em><\/strong> who could be experienced by the <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AchAryas<\/a>;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nammAzhvAr<\/a><\/em> \u2013 <\/strong>As said in <em>\u2018mugilvaNNan adi iNaiyai adaindhu aruL sUdi uyndha <\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 7.2.11] (~surrendered to the divine feet of mugilvaNNan (emperumAn having the dark hue like the dark cloud), and got true goal by his grace) \u2013 such <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nammAzhvAr<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/14\/nanjiyar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nanjeeyar<\/a> <\/em><\/strong> &#8211; He who was accepted by <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">namperumAL<\/a>\u2019s divine son <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/11\/parasara-bhattar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bhattar<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><a href=\"\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/16\/nampillai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nampiLLai<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>\u2013 He who was loved in a great way by <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/14\/nanjiyar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nanjeeyar<\/a>, and as said in \u2018<em><a href=\"\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/16\/nampillai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nampiLLai<\/a> gOshtiyO? <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">namperumAL<\/a> gOshtiyO?\u2019<\/em> (when <a href=\"\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/16\/nampillai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nampiLLai<\/a>\u2019s kAlakshEpa gOshti disperses after completion, the king and others see that in awe asking whether such a big assembly is the gOshti of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">namperumAL<\/a> or of <a href=\"\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/16\/nampillai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nampiLLai<\/a>) \u2013 such <a href=\"\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/16\/nampillai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nampiLLai<\/a> having such a big wealth of looking for more people to do mangaLAsAsanam to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>enbar anbudaiyOr \u2013<\/em><\/strong> those who love them would call (them by these names).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>avar avar ERRaththAl anbudaiyOr sARRu thirunAmangaL thAn enRu \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>Due to each of their own greatness, those who are having very high devotion\/love towards them gladly divined these names for them.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>thAn enRu <\/em><\/strong> &#8211; think, how wonderful are these names, <strong><em>inRu adhanaich cholli nee Eththu \u00ad\u2013 <\/em><\/strong> and you say so and praise that.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>anbudaiyOr sARRu <\/em><\/strong><em>\u2013 is &#8211; <\/em> {about the name <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">namperumAL<\/a><\/strong>} &#8211; He (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/18\/pillai-lokacharyar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">piLLai lOkAchAryar<\/a>) divined \u2018<em>ivai ellAm namakku <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">namperumAL<\/a> pakkalilE kANalAm<\/em> [mumukshuppadi \u2013 141]\u2019 (we can see these auspicious qualities in <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">namperumAL<\/a> (at SrIrangam)), isnt\u2019 it?<\/p>\n<p>One upon a time, in a group, a few who were nefarious had brought perumAL (from SrIrangam) and <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a>s of that place, and grabbed them all to the effect of saying \u2018<em>kettEn\u2019 <\/em>(sinned), and took to the North; at that time, one who is good towards the divine feet of perumAL by name rAjakaNda gOpAlar, an araiyar (devotees organized by <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/nathamunigal\/\">SrIman nAthamunigaL<\/a> in various temples, and currently include SrIrangam, <a href=\"http:\/\/srivilliputhur.koyil.org\/\">SrIvillipuththUr<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/azhwarthirunagari.koyil.org\/\">AzhwArthirunagari<\/a> &#8211; they sing pAsurams, show dramatic acting of meanings of pAsurams during occasions at the temple), he could not bear that separation like said in \u2018<em>enganE tharikkEn unnai vittu<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 7.2.1]\u2019 (How would I survive when separated from you?), was searching for him like \u2018<em>iru nilam kai thuzhA<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 7.2.1]\u2019 (searching with hands in the big world (~since not having energy to walk\/see, due to missing Him)), and went there, and saw that person, and sang sweetly like in \u2018<em>nudangu kELvi isai<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 3.4.6]\u2019 (EmperumAn is like a song that mesmerizes those who hear it), and he lovingly asked \u2018what do you need?\u2019, reply was \u2018our perumAL came here, you should give him\u2019, and he said \u2018if so take him and go\u2019, and showed many statues, and at that time as He could not be found among them, he was sad like said in the ones like \u2018<em>sindhikkum thisaikkum<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 7.2.5]\u2019 (thinks about earlier experience with <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a>, loses her mind); From that day onward, that (name) became his identity \u2013 they divine the story in this way also.<\/p>\n<p>Next, reason for the coming of name <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nammAzhvAr<\/a> \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>Once upon a time, perumAL loved AzhvAr as \u2018nam\u2019 AzhvAr, compared to other <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/azhwars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvArs<\/a>, and also for the periya thiruvadhyayanam (uthsavam) he would divine the writing of letter addressing him in the same way and send it to <a href=\"http:\/\/azhwarthirunagari.koyil.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thirunagari<\/a> \u2013 this is the fact isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n<p>Not only that, at one point when <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">perumAL<\/a> with many others had mercifully stayed in malai nAdu (state of kEraLA), at that time unexpectedly <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a>s from other dhivya dhEsams and <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr<\/a> (from <a href=\"http:\/\/azhwarthirunagari.koyil.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr thirunagari<\/a>) too had joined Him there; at that time perumAL, like said in \u2018<em>palar adiyAr munbu aruLiya<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 7.10.5]\u2019 (singling him out and gracing him in the assembly of great devotees), very kindly called <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr<\/a> \u2013 \u2018<strong><em>nam<\/em><\/strong><em> AzhvAr nam arugE vArum<\/em>\u2019 (my <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr<\/a>, come near me), saying so kept him in his divine throne itself, and divined him his shirt of pearls (muththin chattai), and <em>vatta maNai, <\/em>and more, and divined him like said in \u2018<em>thammaiyE okka aruL seyvar<\/em> [periya thirumozhi 11.3.5]\u2019 (would mercifully give his equivalence) \u2013 they divine this incident.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<em>nam SatakOpanaip pAdinaiyO enRu <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">namperumAL<\/a> vinjiya AdharaththAl kEtpar<\/em>\u2019 (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">namperumAL<\/a> with much desire inquired \u2013 did you sing about our <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SatakOpan<\/a>?) &#8211; is what he (poet kambar) also said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/namperumal-nachiar_serthi2.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5559\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5559\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/namperumal-nachiar_serthi2-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"namperumal-nachiar_serthi2\" width=\"486\" height=\"365\" \/><\/a><em>anbudaiyOr: namperumAL and thAyAr<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Not only these, periya mudhaliyAr (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/22\/nathamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SrIman nAthamunigaL<\/a>), had regarded him more than other <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/azhwars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvArs<\/a>, got, with dhvayam first, the meanings of <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> etc., due to his (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nammAzhvAr<\/a>\u2019s) grace; as the showing of that distinction, like saying \u2018our AchAryAn\u2019, he would say \u2018<em>nammudaiya AzhvAr<\/em>\u2019 (my\/our AzhvAr) \u2013 this is how he was lovingly doing this.
