That is, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">he<\/a> is saying that <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">he <\/a>shall announce about the greatness of texts of meanings of aruLichcheyal (<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dhivya prabandhams<\/a>) which the preceptors (<a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AchAryas<\/a>) provided us for the world to reach the true goal <em>(uyvukkAga), <\/em>starting it with <em>\u2018AzhvArgaL ERRam\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>ERRam (greatness)<\/em> for them is \u2013 unlike those like rishis who gained knowledge with their own efforts,<\/p>\n<p>they (AzhwArs) have the greatness of getting \u2018<em>mayarvaRa mathi nalam<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/03\/thiruvaimozhi-1-1-1-uyarvara-uyarnalam\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi 1.1.1<\/a>]\u2019 (unblemished knowledge), due to causeless mercy of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a>, and<\/p>\n<p>instead of thinking &#8216;let me get the goal (mOksham) when ever it happens later&#8217; and so having a sight in worldly affairs, they were considering as life support, nourishment, and enjoyment all as <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a> only,<\/p>\n<p>(as they sang in various prabandhams like) \u2018<em>ellAm kaNNan<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 6.7.1]\u2019 (~ everything is kaNNan (for me)), and \u2018<em>yAvaiyum thirumAl thirunAmangaLE kUvi <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 6.7.3]<em>\u2019<\/em> (drawing all enjoyments from calling the divine names of emperumAn)<em>, <\/em>and \u2018<em>uNdaRiyAL uRakkam pENAL<\/em> [thirunedunthANdakam\u00a0 &#8211; 12]&#8217; (not knowing eating, not interested in sleep),<em>\u00a0<\/em> and &#8216;<em>pandhOdu kazhaL maruvAL <\/em>[periya thirumozhi 5.5.9]\u2019 (~ won&#8217;t play with her play things), and so on,<\/p>\n<p>and so would not sustain themselves if separated from Him even for half a second, and having the mindset like they said in \u2018<em>mAkavaikuntham kANpadharku en manam Ekam eNNum<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 9.3.7]\u2019 (My mind would only be thinking about seeing the bright SrIvaikuNtam), and \u2018<em>vAnulagam theLindhE enRu eidhuvan<\/em> [periya thirumozhi 6.3.8]\u2019 (When would the distress of this samsAram (life in material world) be cleared and would reach SrIvaikuNtam), and to get that goal, they have got parama bhakthi. Isn\u2019t this their greatness compared to others?<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>aruLichcheyal ERRam<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 greatness of <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dhivya prabandhams<\/a> is \u2013 as said in \u2018<em>aruL koNdu Ayiram in thamizh pAdinAn<\/em> [kaNNinuN chiruth thAmbu \u2013 8] (With great mercy sang 1000 pAsurams in <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a>), it incarnated by the grace of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a> who gave divine vision, and as pushed by devotion as said in \u2018<em>avAvil anthAdhi <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 10.10.11]\u2019 (this anthAdhi prabandham that was born due to parama bhakthi), and focused only on talking about <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a>, having distinguished greatness, being enjoyable, imparting knowledge, imparting all the knowledge that needs to be gained, being reason for <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a>\u2019s love, being able to release from material world, able to give the benefits quickly. Isn\u2019t this the greatness of these compared to other texts.<\/p>\n<p>Now, <strong><em>thAzhvAdhum inRi avai thAm vaLarththOr<\/em> \u2013 <\/strong>(<a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AchAryas<\/a>) do without any mistakes and enrich existing good of such distinguished <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/azhwars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvArs<\/a> and their distinguished <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dhivya prabandhams<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/srivaishna-guruparamparai.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-133\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-133\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/srivaishna-guruparamparai.jpg\" alt=\"srivaishna-guruparamparai\" width=\"491\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/srivaishna-guruparamparai.jpg 827w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/srivaishna-guruparamparai-300x206.jpg 300w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/srivaishna-guruparamparai-768x528.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/a><em>AchAryas (perceptors)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>That is, greatness of the author (<em>vakthru vailakshaNyam<\/em>), greatness of the prabandham (<em>prabandha vailakshaNyam<\/em>), and the matter conveyed in them (<em>prathipAdhya vailakshaNyam<\/em>) are enriched (by the <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AchAryas<\/a>) with more details and relationships, etc., while thinking only about <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a>. Since they are <em>\u2018thAzhvAdhum il kuravar<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/12\/upadhesa-raththina-malai-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">upadhEsa raththina mAlai \u2013 3<\/a>] (<a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AchAryas<\/a> with no blemishes\/shortcomings), so they enriched these also without any shortcomings. \u2018<em>vaLarththOr\u2019 <\/em>shows that a significant number of them were involved in this.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the ones who enriched them did so through the vyAkyAnams (commentary text), so he (<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a>) continues to divine about that, as:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Ezh pArum uyya avargaL sey(dha) vyAkkiyaigaL uLLadhellAm vaiyam aRiyap pagarvOm vAyndhu<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 by this, \u2018<em>Ezh pArum uyya\u2019 is \u2013 <\/em> as said in \u2018<em>ivaRRAl uyyalAm <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 8.1.11]\u2019 (can reach true goal by these ten pAsurams), and \u2018<em>ulaguyya umbargaLum kEttu uyya<\/em> [iyal sARRu]\u2019 (for those in this world and the other worlds to know and reach true goal), they (the vyAkyAnams of <a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AchAryas<\/a>) are such that those in all the worlds can listen to the words that are sweet to the ears (that is, \u2018sevikkiniya senchol [10.6.11]\u2019, as the root reference is\u00a0 aruLichchyal (<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dhivya prabandhams<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>They (<a href=\"https:\/\/guruparamparai.wordpress.com\/2012\/08\/17\/introduction-contd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AchAryas<\/a>) are of the nature of following that (aruLichcheyal) exactly, and doing it (vyAkyAnam) without expecting fame, profit, etc., and they are focused on the noble benefit that everyone should reach true goal by getting the rich meanings, and as said by him (<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a>) earlier \u2018<em>Ezh pArum uyya avargaL uraiththavaigaL thAm vAzhi seyya maRai thannudanE sErndhu<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/12\/upadhesa-raththina-malai-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">updhEsa raththina mAlai \u2013 3<\/a>]\u2019 (for all the seven worlds to reach the true goal, long live what AzhvArs sang, and along with it the vEdhas), based on faith they follow the pronouncements of vEdhas when conveying the meanings (of <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">prabandhams<\/a>), (those vyAkyAnams are) best reference (pramANam) and due to that it can be followed by all the worlds, and be the reason for everyone to reach the true goal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/nampillai-goshti1.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-42\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-42\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/nampillai-goshti1.jpg\" alt=\"nampillai-goshti1\" width=\"452\" height=\"306\" srcset=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/nampillai-goshti1.jpg 516w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/nampillai-goshti1-300x203.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 452px) 100vw, 452px\" \/><\/a><em>nampiLLai&#8217;s kAlakshEpa gOshti\u00a0 (group of discourse) at kOvil (SrIrangam)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>avargaL sey(dha) vyAkkiyaigaL uLLadhellAm<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 As they are many, their vyAkyAnams are also in that way. He (<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a>) divines in detail in further pAsurams that such and such are those vyAkyAnams.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>uLLadhellAm vaiyam aRiyap pagarvOm vAyndhu<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 That is \u2013 as said in \u2018<em>agal gyAlaththavar aRiya neRi ellAm eduththu uraiththa<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 4.8.6]\u2019 (for the ignorant people of the wide world to know He divined the essence of all the means (to reach Him)) <strong>,<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(<a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">maNavALa mAmunigaL<\/a>, upon) seeing the misfortune of the (ignorant) people, thinking that their interest might be piqued about one (<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">vyAkyAnam<\/a>) or the other, <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">he<\/a> divines his vow that he would inform about all the meanings for all the sentient for them to reach true goal.
