divine star days.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>ErAr madhurakavi \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>he is \u2013 as said in \u2018<em>avargaLaich chiriththiruppAr oruvar<\/em> [SrI vachana bhUshaNam \u2013 409]<em>\u2019 <\/em>(~ this <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr<\/a> who is always happy due to surrendering to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nammAzhvAr<\/a> (a devotee), would be laughing at the other <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/azhwars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvArs<\/a> who have surrendered to <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a> since they would be happy when <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a> graces them and sad when <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a> does not show up for them), such <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">madhurakavi AzhvAr<\/a> is involved in AchArya abhimAnam (getting the love of AchAryan).<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<strong><em>Er<\/em><\/strong>\u2019 (beauty) for him is \u2013 \u2018<em>AchAryavAn<\/em> [chAndhOgya upanishath 6.14.2]\u2019 (one having the AchAryan only would understand the true entity), thus being the place of jewellery for the world. He is \u2018<em>anbar adikku anbar<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/04\/gyana-saram-39-alagai-mulai-suvaitharkku\/\">gyAna sAram &#8211; 39<\/a>]\u2019 (devotee of lotus feet of His devotees) isn\u2019t it? As he is \u2018<em>thilatham enath thirivAr<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/04\/gyana-saram-39-alagai-mulai-suvaitharkku\/\">gyAna sAram \u2013 39<\/a>]\u2019 (considers the devotees of krishnAn to be as holy as the thilakam that is smeared on one\u2019s forehead), he is the devotee of \u2018<em>jagathAbharaNar<\/em>\u2019 (jewel that decorates the world) (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nammAzhvAr<\/a>), isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<strong>Er Ar\u2019 <\/strong>is \u2013 having the completeness of: dependence on the will of AchAryan (AchArya parathanthran), such that <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">madhurakavi AzhvAr<\/a> could also lead to that same nishtai (intent).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/azhwar-madhurakavi-nathamuni.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-40\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-40\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/azhwar-madhurakavi-nathamuni.jpg\" alt=\"azhwar-madhurakavi-nathamuni\" width=\"496\" height=\"372\" srcset=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/azhwar-madhurakavi-nathamuni.jpg 687w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/azhwar-madhurakavi-nathamuni-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 496px) 100vw, 496px\" \/><\/a><em>madhurakavi AzhvAr with nammAzhvAR &#8211; (dhEvap)perumAL kOyil (kAncheepuram)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>ivvulagil vandhu udhiththa \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>such <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr<\/a>, like how there is rise of aruNan before that of the sun, he incarnated before the sun that is <em>vakuLabhUshaNa bhAskarar<\/em> (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nammAzhvAr<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>seerArum chiththiraiyil chiththirai nAL<\/strong><em> \u2013 <\/em>Since he having \u2018<em>Er Ar<\/em>\u2019 (complete beauty) incarnated, this day is also being \u2018<em>seer Ar<\/em>\u2019 (complete greatness). Since he is being SrImAn (having (true) wealth {AchArya abhimAnam}), the month of his incarnation also matched \u2018<em>chaithra: SrImAn ayam mAsa:<\/em> (SrI rAmAyaNam \u2013 ayodhyA kANdam \u2013 3.4] (~this month of chiththirai is very best).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>seer Arum<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 can be applied as adjective for both the chiththirais {month and star day \/ or, as quoted in SrI rAmAyaNam above, and for <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr<\/a>}.<\/p>\n<p>As said in \u2018<em>chiththA nakshathram bhavathi<\/em> [thaiththirIya upanishath]\u2019 (chiththirai star day happened), this star day is celebrated by Sruthi as well.<\/p>\n<p>This day is an important uthsavam day in kOyil (srIrangam) as <em>gajEndhra mOksham<\/em> (elephant)<em> (thiruvURal uthsavam).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr<\/a> is a mahAthmA as said in \u2018<em>periyavar seerai <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/07\/ramanusa-nurranthadhi\/\">rAmAnusa nURRanthAdhi<\/a> \u2013 18]\u2019 (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">madhurakavi AzhvAr<\/a>\u2019s qualities such as knowledge etc).<\/p>\n<p>In this way, it is having the greatness that is not present for any other day \u2013 such star day.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>pArulagil maRRuLLa AzhvArgaL vandhu udhiththa nALgaLilum \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>In this world, as said in \u2018<em>uNda pOdhu oru vArththaiyum uNNAtha pOdhu oru vArththaiyum solluvAr paththup pEr <\/em>[SrI vachana bhUshaNam \u2013 408] (other <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/azhwars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvArs<\/a> who have surrendered to <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a> would be happy and praise Him and His related items when <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a> graces them, and be sad and say the opposite about them when <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a> does not show up for them) &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; compared to the months and days of incarnation of such ten <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/azhwars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvArs<\/a>,<\/p>\n<p>for removing the darkness in this world (<em>indha ulagil iruL neenga vandhu udhiththa mAdhangaL nALgaL <\/em>(upadhEsa raththina mAlai \u2013 5]) &#8211;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>uRRadhu emakku enRu nenjE Or<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 (the divine star day of incarnation of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">madhurakavi AzhvAr<\/a>) is apt for our svarUpam (true nature) which is like \u2018<em>madhurakavi soRpadiyE nilaiyAgap peRROm<\/em> [Arththip prabandham \u2013 55] (have got the state of the words\/ways of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/17\/madhurakavi-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">madhurakavi AzhvAr<\/a> (doing service to AchAryan)).
