The swans that sleep in the flower-beds are waking up shaking their wings and feathers which have become wet due to the snow\/fog falling like rain. You are the one who removed the sorrows of gajEndhrAzhwAn who suffered greatly in pain due to the poison from the biting of the crocodile&#8217;s sharp\/hard teeth and the crocodile trying to swallow of its foot using the cave like huge mouth. Oh lord\/master who is lying down in srIragangam who helped the elephant! please wake up now to bless us.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Highlights from the <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/14\/nanjiyar-english\/\">nanjIyar<\/a>\u2018s vyAkyAnam:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a> revealed vEdham in his hamsAvathAram as said in periya thirumozhi 5.7.3 &#8220;<em>annamAy anRu angu arumaRai payanthAy arangamA nagaramarnthAnE<\/em>&#8220;. Since swans have woken up, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/08\/thondaradippodi-azhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> requests <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">srIranganAthan<\/a> to wake up as well.<\/li>\n<li>As mentioned in vishNu dharmam &#8220;<em>paramApadham Apanna:<\/em>&#8221; &#8211; gajEndhrAzhwAn faced a great danger of being killed by the crocodile. But <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a> arrived there, removed gajEndhrAzhwAn&#8217;s trouble, accepted the flower (which was held by gajEndhrAzhwAn for <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a>) in his lotus feet and his service. This is <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\">bhagavAn<\/a>&#8216;s greatest favour.\u00a0 Similarly, he descended into srIrangam as <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">srIranganAthan<\/a> in archAvathAram to uplift all samsAris (who are present in the times after vibhavAvathArams). <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/08\/thondaradippodi-azhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> requests <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a> to wake up and fulfill their cravings to be blessed by him (just like he removed the sorrow of gajEndhrAzhwAn).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Highlights from the <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/10\/05\/periyavachan-pillai-english\/\">periyavAchchAn piLLai<\/a>\u2018s vyAkyAnam:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>AzhwAr says &#8220;<em>paLLikoL annam<\/em>&#8221; &#8211; in <a href=\"https:\/\/koyil.org\">dhivya dhEsams<\/a> (which are very dear to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a>), everything &#8211; even swans, are given great respect. When <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> arrived at thiruvEnkatam (thirumalA), <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/01\/periya-thirumalai-nambi\/\">periya thirumalai nambi<\/a> who is <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a>&#8216;s maternal uncle and one of the AchAryas, himself came to the streets to welcome him. When\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\">emperumAnAr<\/a> asked why he himself arrived and did not send some one of lower stature to welcome him, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/03\/01\/periya-thirumalai-nambi\/\">nambi<\/a> says &#8220;<em>nammil siRiyArillai ingu vaththippAril<\/em>&#8221; (among those who live here, there is no one lower to me in stature) &#8211;\u00a0 such was his humility.<\/li>\n<li>(similar to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/14\/nanjiyar-english\/\">nanjIyar<\/a>&#8216;s vyAkyAnam) Since the swans have woken up, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\">emperumAn<\/a> who also appeared as swan should have woken up by now.<\/li>\n<li>Here <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/08\/thondaradippodi-azhwar\/\">AzhwAr<\/a> says &#8220;<em>vizhungiya<\/em>&#8221; (swallowed) when really the crocodile bites and holds the foot tight. This is similar to a mother seeing child very close to an open well and screams &#8220;I lost him&#8221; out of fear.<\/li>\n<li>For &#8220;<em>arum thuyar<\/em>&#8220;, it is explained that the sorrow was so big that, perumAL himself jumped directly from paramapadham to rescue gajEndhrAzhwAn.<\/li>\n<li>Why are you still sleeping?
