At the end of their <em>yagyams<\/em>, the sages immerse themselves in the waters of the river. Once they complete their sacred bath, the river carries all their implements of <em>yagyams<\/em> such as plough etc. On the bank of such gangA is the distinguished abode of <em>kaNdam<\/em>. Clouds imbibed the entire water of ocean and poured them after reaching thiruvAyppAdi, roaring thunderously. krishNa lifted the hill gOvardhana as an umbrella, preventing even a drop of water falling on any person, who had taken refuge under him. He has deep affection for SrI mathurA and lives in that abode, <em>kaNdam<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>vyAkhyAnam<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>salam podhi mEgam thalaippeydhu kumuRi<\/strong> \u2013 Clouds, as ordered by indhran [lord of celestial entities], had imbibed the entire water from the oceans such that the floor of the ocean could be seen. They then reached thiruvAyppAdi [SrI gOkulam], roaring thunderously, to make the stomachs of those who heard their noise, to churn. <em>thalaippeygai<\/em> \u2013 to reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>sala sala pozhindhida<\/strong> \u2013 The clouds poured out their contents [water], just like a pot of water, when inverted, pours down. <em>sala sala<\/em> \u2013 sound, made by water, when it pours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>kaNdu<\/strong> \u2013 Looking at the enmity of clouds and the simplicity of those, in thiruvAyppAdi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>malaip perum kudaiyAl maRaiththavan<\/strong> \u2013 one who lifted the mountain [gOvardhana], like a huge umbrella and hid the people under it, such that not a drop of water, not a hail, not a thunder fell on anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>madhurai mAl<\/strong> \u2013 krishNa destroyed the enemy, kamsan; he released his parents [dhEvakip pirAtti and SrI vasudhEvar] from their prison; he coronated ugrasEna [father of kamsan] as the king of mathurA; he uplifted all the inhabitants of mathurA, protecting them. He is one, who has deep affection towards SrI mathurA, where he mercifully incarnated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>purudOththaman vAzhvu<\/strong> \u2013 for purushOththaman, who protected those who inhabited the place where he grew up [AyppAdi] and the place where he incarnated [mathurA], without any difference, and had greatness, the abode which is the most enjoyable, without any limit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>alaippuddaith thirai vAy<\/strong> \u2013 in the waves which go at the bank<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">thiruvAimozhip piLLai, in his svApadhESam, says that the sages, in keeping with their observance of religious activities, maintain <em>vAngniyathi<\/em> [rules regarding speaking; in other words, maintaining silence], and carry out the activities without any fault in the way that the <em>manthrams<\/em> are recited, without any fault in the activities undertaken and without any fault in the materials gathered for carrying out the <em>yagyams<\/em>.
