She was resplendent, carrying distinguished rubies, descending with water to earth. On the banks of such gangA, the abode kaNdam<\/em> is located. It is the divine abode of our purushOththaman, who has the resounding SrI pAnchajanyam, which emperumAn keeps on his divine mouth and blows, as well as the divine disc, which spits out fire and severs the heads of monsters who come to fight with emperumAn there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n vyAkhyAnam<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n adhir mugam udaiya<\/strong> \u2013 when emperumAn was mercifully measuring the worlds, monsters such as namuchi [son of mahAbali] opposed him; emperumAn kept the divine conch SrI pAnchajanyam on his divine mouth and blew on it. He flung the divine disc, sudharSanAzhwAn, rolling the heads of monsters who came to oppose him there. He is also the most attainable entity for us. kaNdam<\/em>, on the banks of river gangA, is his dwelling abode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n thiruvAimozhip piLLai, in his svApadhESam, says here that for SrI pAnchajanyam, making resounding noise is the nature, as mentioned in thiruvAimozhi 2.10.2<\/a> \u201cadhir kural sangaththu<\/em>\u201d (for the divine conch which makes joyful sounds). kumizhththu<\/em> \u2013 blowing, as mentioned in periyAzhwAr thirumozhi 3.6.11<\/a> \u201ckuzhal muzhanjugaLinUdu kumizhndhu<\/em>\u201d (rising up, through the holes in the divine flute). angu<\/em> \u2013 after annihilating his opponents, it is the dwelling place for our purushOththaman. Alternatively, it could also refer to the opponents who were seen during the mahAbhAratha war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n sadhumugan \u2026<\/strong>– just as it has been mentioned in \u201cgruhIthvA dharma pAnIyam pAdham nAthasya thushtayE kshALitham parayAbhakthyA pAdhyArghyAdhipir architham<\/em>\u201d (with the water of righteousness, the divine foot of thrivikraman, our lord, was cleansed by brahmA, to make him happy, due to eminent devotion; subsequently, he was worshipped with separate containers for arghyam, pAdhyam etc), when emperumAn\u2019s divine foot was washed, the water was in the hands of brahmA, who has four faces. Later, it fell on the divine foot of sarvESvaran, who has four divine shoulders.
