He has firmly donned the divine, yellow-coloured dress [on his divine waist]. He, who is the head of herd-folk, who is unique and who has decorated himself with rare ornaments, is playing on the flute. When he does this, trees will spray streams of honey; flowers, which are on the branches, will lose their hold and fall down, on their own. Branches, which normally grow up, will bend down, and engage, losing their firmness. They will perform an <em>anjali<\/em>, with the branches touching each other. How amazing, is the action of these trees, as they keep looking at him, in whichever side he moves!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>vyAkhyAnam (Commentary)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>karungaN thOgai \u2026<\/strong> &#8211; decorating the divine locks with peacock feathers, which have dark eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>thiruvAimozhip piLLai, in his svApadhESam, says that krishNa dons on his divine locks, peacock feathers which have dark eyes, with lines circling around them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>katti nangu uduththa pIdhaga Adai arum kala uruvin<\/strong> \u2013 having a divine form, in which the divine yellow-coloured dress has been donned firmly, such that the divine waist appeared blossomed [into the dress] and having divine ornaments which are rare to get.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that krishNa has donned rare-to-get divine ornaments on his divine form. More than the divine form which appears like a dark carbuncle, he has the eminence of a splendorous simplicity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ayar perumAn avan Oruvan kuzhal Udhina pOdhu<\/strong> \u2013 when he, who is having the simplicity of being the lord of herd-folk, who is famous for his beauty and simplicity, and who is without any match, played on the flute \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that there is no boundary for krishNa\u2019s simplicity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>marangaL ninRu madhu thAraigaL pAyum<\/strong> \u2013 It was not that only the celestial, human and animal species who had melted on hearing krishNa\u2019s flute [we have seen these in the previous pAsurams of this decad]. Even trees, which do not have the ability to think, melted in a synchronised manner. Manifesting that they were melting inside, hearing krishNa\u2019s divine music, they will shed streams of honey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that it was not only that celestial, human and animal species who had got attracted to krishNa\u2019s music. Even trees, which have very little abilities with their knowledge and senses, will melt such that streams of honey will flow out, like floodgates opening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>malargaL vIzhum<\/strong> \u2013 flowers, which are on the branches, will lose their hold and fall down<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>vaLar kombugaL thAzhum<\/strong> \u2013 branches of the tree, which normally grow up, will bend down<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>irangum<\/strong> \u2013 they will engage with his music, losing their control over themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that the trees will engage with the music from krishNa\u2019s flute, just like (1) the little herd-girls who came past their hurdles and surrounded krishNa [as seen in the first pAsuram of this decad], (2) the celestial ladies [as seen in the third pAsuram], (3) celestial entities who followed, with joy [as seen in the fifth, sixth and seventh pAsurams], (4) the animals, which could not go forward or backward or sideways [ninth pAsuram] and [5] the birds, which came out of their nests and fell down like a flattened forest [eighth pAsuram]. They engaged, unlike the other species which went to the source of music [krishNa]. <em>irakkam<\/em> \u2013 to engage. AzhwAr is amazed that \u201cWhile krishNa was roaming around and playing on his flute, just like people bow down and perform <em>anjali<\/em> with their feet [prostrating] and their long hands, these trees are performing <em>anjali<\/em> with their lowered and bent branches. What an amazing quality is this!\u201d If stones could melt due to music, should one mention about trees melting?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>thiruvAimozhip piLLai says at the end that among various species such as celestial et al, there is none who will be unable to melt to the words of an AchAryan.
