In thiruvAyppAdi, people are such simple that they would not even know the difference between the left hand and right hand. He could roam wherever he liked, like a huge bull, roaming as it pleased, with pride. In this case, the word karum would refer to eminence. Alternatively, karum would also refer to dark complexion. In this case, it would refer to krishNa being like a dark bull, ready to fight. This would be apt for saying porudhu nI vandhAy (you came ready to fight). He has, indeed, fought with the wrestlers [such as chANUra, mushtika et al].

nI ugakkum – I was going to bring the ancillaries which you like such as umbrella, which protects from rain and sunlight, sandals for the divine feet, which protect from thorn etc, and flute, which is instrumental in keeping the herd of calves in an orderly way, for grazing them and for calling them back. Oh, one who went behind the calves due to your deep affection for them, without waiting to take these!

thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that just as it has been mentioned in sthOthra rathnam 40 “nivAsa SayyA …” (AdhiSEshan functions as the throne, as the mattress etc for emperumAn) and in mudhal thiruvandhAdhi 53 “senRAl kudaiyAm ..” (AdhiSEshan becomes umbrella when emperumAn moves), it could be said that AdhiSEshan becomes the flute in krishNa’s hand too. Since krishNa desires to be with the calves, he went urgently behind them, without even waiting for umbrella, sandals and flute. This is the reason for addressing him as mAlE (one who has excessive affection towards his followers).

kadiya vem kAnidaik kanRin pin pOna – you went behind the calves wherever they went, in the forest, which was hot.

thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that even as yaSOdhAp pirAtti has kept krishNa on her lap and has embraced him, she thinks of the urge with which he had gone behind the cattle [in the morning]. Since the forest is said to be very hot, it would appear like a desert. Oh, the little child, who went to such a forest!

siRukkuttach chengamala adiyum vedhumbi – you are a little child; your divine feet, which are like reddish lotus, became heated up. Since it is mentioned as sengamala adi, this refers to the qualities of softness, coolness etc associated with lotus flower, for the divine feet. When the divine feet are like this [soft and cool], is there a need to speak about them getting heated up when going without umbrella and sandals, in the hot forest?

thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that since yaSOdhAp pirAtti was fearful of the heat in the forest, even though she likens krishNa’s divine feet to lotus flower, the divine feet appear hot even now, to her hands.

un kangaL sivandhAy – when the feet are heated up, it would certainly lead to reddish eyes. Beyond this, krishNa has to look out for (1) areas where the calves could graze [which have green pastures and water], (2) the calves to check if their stomachs are full or not, (3) proximity of wild animals, which may harm the calves, (4) checking the calves to see if any calf has gone astray from the herd. Due to looking for these constantly, the eyes will become red.

asaindhittAy nI empirAn – Oh, my lord, you have become thin!
