That lajjai (shyness) will occur only if she sustains herself; the mother is saying &#8220;Whatever pampering we do to her, we are not seeing any results. How is this going to end for her?&#8221;. One who is suffering due to the heat\/suffering, will naturally surrender unto one who remains in water, who can eliminate that heat\/suffering; parakAla nAyaki is not of the nature to surrender unto him [in vyUha form, in the milk ocean]; only sanaka et al (the four kumAras) who are as good as mukthAthmAs, surrender unto him; she surrenders unto archAvathAra form only. In that, she is enlisting a few dhivyadhESams which are rejuvenating for her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">pAsuram<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em>aruvi sOr vEngadam nIrmalai enRu vAy<br>veruvinAL meyyam vinavi irukkinRAL <br>perugu sIrk kaNNapuram enRu pEsinAL<br>uruginAL uL melindhAL idhu en kolO?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Word-by-Word meanings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>aruvi &#8211; the waterfalls from mountain<br>sOr &#8211; flowing<br>vEngadam &#8211; saying thiruvEngadam<br>nIrmalai &#8211; thiruneermalai<br>enRu &#8211; saying<br>vAy veruvinAL &#8211; speaking without thinking;<br>meyyam &#8211; saying thirumeyyam<br>vinavi &#8211; hearing<br>irukkinRAL &#8211; she remains;<br>perugu &#8211; (like river) flowing<br>sIr &#8211; having wealth (of qualities in completion)<br>kaNNapuram enRu &#8211; saying thirukkaNNapuram<br>pEsinAL &#8211; she is speaking;<br>uruginAL &#8211; melting (as water);<br>uL &#8211; in the heart<br>melindhAL &#8211; she is suffering<br>idhu en kolO &#8211; alas; what a suffering!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Simple translation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>My daughter, parakAla nAyaki, is speaking without thinking, saying &#8220;thiruvEngdam where the water-falls from the mountain is flowing, thirneermalai&#8221;; she is asking &#8220;thirumeyyam&#8221; and remaining; she is saying &#8220;thirukkaNNapuram which is having wealth like a flowing river&#8221;; she is melting; she is suffering in her heart; alas! What a suffering!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>aruvi sOr vEngadam <\/strong>&#8211; Since the source of the water remains perennial, the water-falls also remains perennial. It is a rejuvenating abode as said in <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2024\/09\/nachchiyar-thirumozhi-8-1\/\">nAchchiyAr thirumozhi 8.1<\/a> &#8220;<em>theNNIrpAy vEngadam<\/em>&#8221; (thiruvEngadam where clear streams are flowing).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>neer malai <\/strong>&#8211; In thiruvEngadam, the water-falls is on the flow. Unlike that, in thiruneermalai, there is water surrounding everywhere, there is a divine mountain amidst the water and he is mercifully reclining in the middle of the mountain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>enRu vAy veruvinAL <\/strong>&#8211; Since her heart was stolen [by bhagavAn], she spoke without thinking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>meyyam vinavi irukkinRAL <\/strong>&#8211; She would ask &#8220;Did the abode not get the name thirummeyyam since this is where he truly remained for his devotees and helped them?&#8221;. There would be no one who would respond to her. She remains as said in chAndhOgya upanishath 16-1-3 \u201c<em>sthabdhOsi<\/em>\u201d (you are standing as if you are without emotions [as if in a shock]).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>perugu nIr kaNNapuram enRu pEsinAL <\/strong>&#8211; Unlike the other dhivyadhESams where there is sufficient wealth, thirukkaNNapuram is having greatly growing wealth like a flowing river. She is constantly uttering that thirukkaNNapuram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>kaNNapuram enRu pEsinAL uruginAL <\/strong>&#8211; She is not melting after speaking. Even while speaking, she is melting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>uL melindhAL <\/strong>&#8211; The AthmA which is said in SrI bhagavath gIthA 2.24 \u201c<em><strong>achchEdhyO\u00fdam adhAhyO\u00fdam&nbsp;<\/strong>aklEdhyO\u2019SOshya Evacha<\/em>&nbsp;l<em>&nbsp;nithyas sarvagatha<\/em>:<em>&nbsp;sthANurachalO\u00fdam sanAthana<\/em>: ll\u201d (AthmA, which permeates all through the body, cannot be severed; it cannot be burnt; it cannot be wet; it cannot be dried. Hence, AthmA is permanent, firm, immovable and existing since time immemorial), has withered as it is. Alternative explanation &#8211; the body melts only when the heart melts; she is saying that the heart has melted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>idhu en kolO <\/strong>&#8211; Sin is the reason for her suffering. As said in \u201c<em>mathurA nAma nagarI puNyA pApaharI SubhA<\/em>\u201d (the town mathurA is pious, removes sins and auspicious), as one speaks about the abode where the faultless lord resides, the sins will be eliminated and enjoyment will occur &#8211; says SAsthram.
