You should know that following the words of a mother who has given birth to you is the rightful act. Aren’t you one who had followed the words of your mother, when you were born? [This is about krishNa hiding his two extra hands when he was born as well as the divine disc and divine conch which he had held in those divine hands, when dhEvakip pirAtti told him to hide them and be like a normal child, lest kamsan harm him immediately].

thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that yaSOdhAp pirAtti is telling krishNa “Did you not listen to your mother even at the time of your birth? Unlike that mother [here, the reference is to kaikEyi, who had asked SrI rAma to go to forest, in exile, for fourteen years], did I justify your going to forest where inimical entities and wild animals live? Alternatively, with dhAmam referring to paramapadham and udharam referring to centre, this term dhAmOdhara could also refer to emperumAn who is living at the centre of SrI vaikuNtam.
