periya thirumozhi, thirukkuRunthAndakam, thirunedunthANdakam, <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/04\/thiruvezhukurrirukkai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvezhukURRirukkai<\/a>, siRiya thirumadal, and periya thirumadal;<br \/>\n<em>kURa<\/em> \u2013 to divine them (aruLich cheyya)<br \/>\n<em>avadhariththa<\/em> \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">he<\/a> performed divine incarnation<br \/>\n<em>veeRu udaiya<\/em> \u2013 in the great<br \/>\n<em>kArththikaiyil<\/em> \u2013 month of kArththikai<br \/>\n<em>kArththikai nAL <\/em>\u2013 in the star day of kruththikA;<br \/>\n<em>kAdhalippAr<\/em> \u2013 (those who) would love and<br \/>\n<em>inRu enRu<\/em> \u2013 say that (that star day) is this day (today),<br \/>\n<em>nenjE<\/em> \u2013 Oh the mind!<br \/>\n<em>vAzhththu<\/em> \u2013 you shall praise<br \/>\n<em>vAyththa malar<\/em> \u2013 the compact\/fit lotus flower like<br \/>\n<em>thALgaL<\/em> \u2013 divine feet (of theirs).<\/p>\n<p><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">He<\/a> is divining to his mind to praise the divine feet of those who always love the thirukkarththikai month, thirukkarththikai star day for it being the day <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thirumangai AzhvAr <\/a>came here for divining six <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/\">dhivya prabandhams<\/a> which are the six parts of the four vEdhas.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>mARan paNiththa thamizh maRaikku<\/em> \u2013 <\/strong>unlike the samskrutha vEdham that is following itself as self-existent, the greatness of <a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> is that it incarnated from nammAzhvAr.<\/p>\n<p>Like saying \u2018<em>vEdha:prAchEthasAdhAseeth<\/em> [rAmAyaNam dhyAna slOkam &#8211; 16]<em>\u2019<\/em> (vEdham (rAmAyaNam) was created by vAlmIki), by saying \u2018<em>thamizh maRai<\/em>\u2019, it implies vEdham made in thamizh.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/11\/parasara-bhattar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bhattar<\/a> too divined:<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<em>thagam ha threen giri rUpAn vigyAthAniva dharsayAmchkAra |<\/em><br \/>\n<em> thEshAgam hyEkaikasmAn mushtimAdhadhE sahOvAcha |<\/em><br \/>\n<em> bhardhvAjEthryA manthrya | vEdhA vA yEthE |<\/em><br \/>\n<em> ananthA vai vEdhA \u2013 namO vAchE yAchOdhithA yAchAnudhithA thasyai<\/em><br \/>\n<em> vAchE namO vAchE \u2013 svam samskrutha dhrAvida vEdhasUkthai: &#8211;<\/em><br \/>\n<em> dhrAvideem brahma samhithAm\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/em>[kAtakam]<\/p>\n<p>(~ bharathvAjar said to athri \u2013 these three vEdhas are of innumerable length. It cannot be said completely)<\/p>\n<p>(in case of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr<\/a>,) <a href=\"https:\/\/granthams.koyil.org\/2013\/03\/12\/thathva-thrayam-iswara-who-is-god\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sarvEsvaran<\/a> makes <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr<\/a> divine them, and thus <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr<\/a> divined the prabandhams;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Nammazhwar-kanchi-2.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4653\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4653\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Nammazhwar-kanchi-2.jpg\" alt=\"Nammazhwar-kanchi-2\" width=\"365\" height=\"487\" srcset=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Nammazhwar-kanchi-2.jpg 500w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Nammazhwar-kanchi-2-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 365px) 100vw, 365px\" \/><\/a><em>mARan &#8211; at (dhEvap) perumAL kOil, kAncheepuram<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>mangaiyar kOn ARangam kURa avadhariththa \u2013 <\/em><\/strong>So, for these prabandhams of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nammAzhvAr<\/a> which are equivalent\u00a0 to four vEdhas<strong>,<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thirumangai AzhvAr<\/a> incarnated to provide the six parts related to vEdhas, in the form of six prabandhams. For the prabandhams thiruviruththam etc., of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nammAzhvAr<\/a>, the six prabandhams periya thirumozhi etc., of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thirumagai AzhvAr<\/a> represent its six parts; these can be said as thamizh parts for the thamizh vEdham. This is very well established in AchArya hrudhayam.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/thirumangai-azhwar.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3051\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3051\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/thirumangai-azhwar.jpg\" alt=\"thirumangai-azhwar\" width=\"370\" height=\"493\" srcset=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/thirumangai-azhwar.jpg 600w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/thirumangai-azhwar-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 370px) 100vw, 370px\" \/><\/a><em>thirumangai AzhvAr with kumudhavalli nAchchiyAr &#8211; (thiruvAli) thirunagari<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>vIRudaiya kArththikaiyil kArththikai nAL<\/em> \u2013 <\/strong>In this way the incarnation of this <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr<\/a> who knows the true meanings of vEdhas and its parts (angams) is the reason for kArththikai month\u2019s kArththikai day being glorious compared to other non-special days. <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">He<\/a> is famously referred in the phrase \u2018<em>parAnkusa parakAlA yathivarAdhigaL<\/em>\u2019 (\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/18\/nammazhwar-english\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nammAzhvAr<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thirumangai AzhvAr<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAnAr<\/a> and other Azhvar AchAryas\u201d).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">He<\/a> himself divined too \u2013 \u2018<em>um adiyArOdu okka eNNi irundheer adiyEnai <\/em> [periya thirumozhi 4.9.6] (~ You thought of me to be same as your devotees); (you are thinking of me to be same as your innumerable other devotees; you are thinking of me to be same as seethA pirAtti who said she would wait for a month to see you, whereas here I am who cannot be separated from you even for a second, and you act like you don\u2019t know the difference between me and your other devotees, dear indhaLUr swami!);<\/p>\n<p>Matching this theme is <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">his<\/a> star birth day too { that is, there is a huge difference between this day and other days};<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, <em>\u2018thAn ugandha UrellAm than thAL pAdi <\/em>[thirunedunthAntakam &#8211; 6]<em>\u2019 <\/em>(praising the divine feet of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/sriman-narayanan\/\">emperumAn<\/a> in all the dhivya dhEsams where He is present out of his love) \u2013 this greatness of praising in all <a href=\"https:\/\/koyil.org\/\">dhivya dhEsams<\/a> is applicable to this <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr<\/a> (as he went in person to so many dhivya dhEsams to do mangaLAsAsanam).<\/p>\n<p>In this way, due to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">his<\/a> glory, the importance also came to this day \u2013<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>kArththikaiyil kArththikai nAL inRu enRu kAdhalippAr <\/em>\u2013 <\/strong>They (certain devotees) would think, among these insignificant days, there is this wonderful day that is available for us! For them this is also a \u2018<em>madhi niRaindha nannAL<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2014\/12\/thiruppavai-01-margazhi-thingal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruppAvai \u2013 1<\/a>] (Oh what a day! We got this wonderful day to meet krishNan!)., and would always be thinking about its greatness, and will live with increasing love for it.<\/p>\n<p>They are those like \u2018<em>kuRaiyal pirAn adik keezh viLLAdha anban irAmAnusan <\/em>[rAmAnusa nURRanthAdhi \u2013 2] (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAnAr<\/a> who is ever having the devotion toward the divine feet of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thirumangai AzhvAr<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/emperumAnAr-thirumangai-AzhwAr.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4680\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4680\" src=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/emperumAnAr-thirumangai-AzhwAr.jpg\" alt=\"emperumAnAr-thirumangai AzhwAr\" width=\"457\" height=\"343\" srcset=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/emperumAnAr-thirumangai-AzhwAr.jpg 701w, https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/emperumAnAr-thirumangai-AzhwAr-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 457px) 100vw, 457px\" \/><\/a><em>thirumangai AzhvAr and one who loves kArthikai&#8217;s kArthikai &#8211; emperumAnAr<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Their divine feet is available to us \u2013<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>vAyththa malarth thALgaL nenjE vAzhththu \u2013<\/em><\/strong> Oh mind! Since they (such devotees) are our lords, do mangaLAsAsanam that the existing devotion should continue forever, without straying\u00a0 \u2013 devotion towards their divine feet that is infinitely beautiful and is as per their svarUpam (nature)\u00a0 \u2013 is what you need to pray and praise, to keep to your nature (svarUpam) (of subservience).<\/p>\n<p>That should be similar to what is said in \u2018<em>pOndhadhu en nenju<\/em> [rAmAnusa nURRanthAdhi \u2013 100] (~ the golden bee that is my mind, flew into the divine feet of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/09\/06\/emperumanar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAnAr<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>It is to be said &#8211; \u2018<em>inbuRum thoNdar sevvadi Eththi vAzhum en nenjamE <\/em> [perumAL thirumozhi 2-4]\u2019 (~my mind would live praising the beautiful feet of the devotees).<\/p>\n<p><strong>vAyththa<\/strong> \u2013 what we got;
