Please call your son and keep him with you\u201d. This pAsuram mentions this incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>thiruvAimozhip piLLai, in his svApadhESam, says that yaSOdhAp pirAtti had thought that krishNa had gone into the house when she told him [as in the previous pAsuram] \u201c<em>pAviyEnukku ingE pOdharAyE<\/em>\u201d. She was not aware of the mischiefs that he was indulging, in the village. Some other people came and complained to her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>thiruvudaip piLLaidhAn thIyavARu thEkkam onRum ilan thEsudaiyan<\/em><br><em>uruga vaiththa kudaththodu veNNey uRichchi udaiththittup pOndhu ninRAn<\/em><br><em>arugirundhAr thammai aniyAyam seyvadhudhAn vazhakkO asOdhAy<\/em>!<br><em>varuga enRu un magan thannaik kUvAy vAzha ottAn madhusUdhananE<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Word-by-Word Meanings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>asOdhAy<\/em> \u2013 oh, yaSOdhAp pirAtti!<br><em>thiru udai<\/em> \u2013 without any shortcoming in opulence<br><em>piLLai<\/em> \u2013 kaNNan, your son<br><em>thAn <\/em>\u2013 himself<br><em>thIya Aru<\/em> \u2013 in the modes of carrying out mischief<br><em>onRum<\/em> \u2013 even a little bit<br><em>thEkkam ilan<\/em> \u2013 without any hesitation<br><em>thEsu udaiyan<\/em> \u2013 he has that [mischief-mongering] as his radiance<br><em>uruga vaiththa<\/em> \u2013 kept for melting<br><em>veNNey<\/em> \u2013 butter<br><em>kudaththOdu<\/em> \u2013 along with the container<br><em>uRichchi<\/em> \u2013 sucking out<br><em>udaiththittu<\/em> \u2013 breaking the container too<br><em>pOndhu<\/em> \u2013 coming here<br><em>ninRAn<\/em> \u2013 he stood<br><em>madhusUdhanan<\/em> \u2013 one who had earlier annihilated the inimical entity, madhu<br><em>vAzha ottAn<\/em> \u2013 remaining now as the enemy himself, he is not allowing us to have our livelihood<br><em>arugu<\/em> \u2013 in the neighbourhood<br><em>irundhAr thammai<\/em> \u2013 we, who live<br><em>aniyAyam seyvadhu<\/em> \u2013 carrying out your wish, through your son<br><em>vazhakkOdhAn<\/em> \u2013 is it proper?<br><em>un magan thannai<\/em> \u2013 kaNNan, your son<br><em>varuga varuga enRu kUvAy<\/em> \u2013 call him out \u201cCome near me\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Simple Translation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>krishNa is wealthy, as a result of which there is no hurdle in his indulging in mischiefs, He has radiance due to his mischief-mongering. He sucked out all the butter which we had kept in pots for melting and broke the pots too. Oh, yaSOdhA! Is it correct to do injustice to those who live near you? Call your son to come near you. madhusUdhanan [krishNa] will not allow us to earn our livelihood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>vyAkhyAnam (Commentary)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>thiruvudaip piLLai<\/strong> \u2013 A wealthy boy; this hints that there is no shortage of wealth for him. Through this it is mentioned that he is not indulging in stealing and eating butter because there is shortage of butter in his house and that he could only eat butter from others\u2019 places. He is indulging in mischiefs due to the pride of his wealth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>thAn thIyavARu thEkkam onRum ilan<\/strong> \u2013 Looking at his birth [born to the chief of that place] and wealth [his father is the richest in that place], he does not hesitate when he sets out to indulge in mischiefs, thinking \u201cWhy are we doing this?\u201d He will indulge in all sorts of mischiefs, without any hurdle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that there is no limit to the mischiefs which he indulges in, when looking at his activities. He was such that he was cited as an example for referring to people who were indulging in mischiefs. <em>thEkkam<\/em> \u2013 hurdle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>thEsu udaiyan<\/strong> \u2013 Is it only that he does not have any hesitation? He will think that it is only when he indulges in carrying out mischiefs that he gains a radiance. This infers that he does not fear the ridicule of others. When yaSOdhAp pirAtti asks them as to what krishNa had done for them to say all these, they mention one among the many mischiefs which he has done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that apart from not fearing when someone tries to control krishNa [from indulging in mischiefs], he would recall the mischievous activities which he had carried out, think that those activities give him a radiance, consider that as a wealth and indulge in further mischievous activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>uruga \u2026<\/strong> &#8211; We had kept butter in pots, for melting [into ghee]. He tilted the vessels, ate up all the butter, broke the pots and is standing here as if he had not done any of these.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>arugu \u2026<\/strong> &#8211; Oh, yaSOdhA! Is it correct on your part to carry out what you want, through your son, on us, who are living close to you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>varuga enRu un magan thannaik kUvAy<\/strong> \u2013 Call your son so that he comes to you and keep him with you, instead of coming to our places and indulging in further mischiefs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that when he heard the people complaining about him, krishNa started running away from that place. Looking at the way in which he was running, those who came to complain about him, started running behind him, saying \u201cHe will not allow us to earn our livelihood\u201d, fearing that he was going to enter their houses again in order to eat the remaining butter too, there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>vAzha ottAn madhusUdhananE<\/strong> \u2013 If you do not do this, he will not allow us to live in this place and earn our livelihood. Usage of the term <em>madhusUdhanan<\/em> hints that while earlier he [krishNa] was removing enemies of his followers, now he has become inimical through his nature, and is harming his followers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>thiruvAimozhip piLLai says at the end that \u201cStealing\u201d became radiance for emperumAn. When thieves, in the world, take umbrage when being called as \u201cThief\u201d, krishNa was focused on \u201cStealing\u201d, taking over the name of \u201cThief\u201d. This appeared acceptable to him and became his radiance. Since the pAsuram says that he recognized butter as an enjoyment and broke the vessel which contained that butter, it is clear that he is the <em>mOkshapradhan<\/em> [one who grants complete liberation], which is the ultimate removal of bondage with samsAram for a jIvAthmA.
