Without listening to her words, krishNa, with pride, went to the junction of four streets in order to play with his friends.

thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that the eminent brAhmaNas, who are knowledgeable about vEdhAntham [that part of vEdham which deals with engaging with brahmam, the supreme entity], have come with pure water in their conches and hymns in order to carry out rakshai [same as kAppu, offering protection] for you. You should come such that they could carry out rakshai. This verse says that instead of listening to these words, krishNa ran away, with pride. This also conveys the meaning that krishNa gave response to yaSOdhAp pirAtti’s pleading and ran out. What was krishNa’s response to yaSOdhAp pirAtti’s pleading? He said words such as “They have come for their own benefit.
