thiruvAli thirunagari<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>vyAkyAnam<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Then <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">he<\/a> is divining as a question and answer to his mind regarding the glory of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thirumangai AzhvAr<\/a>\u2019s incarnation day of thirukkArththikai divine star day, starting this with <em>\u2018pEdhai nenjE\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Unlike the earlier pAsuram where <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">he<\/a> said \u2018<em>eedhu ivar thORRaththu adaivAm<\/em> [<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/2015\/12\/upadhesa-raththina-malai-4\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">upadhEsa raththinamAlai \u2013 4<\/a>] which was in the order of incarnations of <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/azhwars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Azhvars<\/a>, from this pAsuram <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">he<\/a> is presenting in the order of months in which various <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/azhwars\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvArs<\/a> incarnated. For the sentients, this also would be a sequence to keep in their mind. It is convenient too to go in the order of months.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>pEdhai nenjE inRaip perumai aRindhilaiyO \u2013<\/em> <\/strong>Oh the ignorant mind which thinks the other days as equivalent to this special day! The reason of our reaching the true goal that is enabled by this star day is something you could reflect upon, but are you not aware of this important day?<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Edhu perumai inRaikku enRiyEl (en ennil) <\/em>\u2013 <\/strong>If you ask \u2018What is the greatness of this day compared to the other days? Should you who know its greatness not divine it?\u2019, then<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>OdhuginREn \u2013<\/em> <\/strong>I, who has understood, shall preach that to you (the mind) who has not understood it.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>vAiththa pugazh , etc. \u2013<\/em> <\/strong>As said in \u2018<em>manRil mali pugazh mangai mannan<\/em> [periya thirumozhi 11.2.10]\u2019, he having the glory that matches his svarUpam (nature), the king of thirumangai, incarnated in this great world in the month of kArththikai , in the star day of kArththikai \u2013 you note this \u2013 is what I am preaching you.<\/p>\n<p>The glory of his is \u2013 as said in \u2018<em>mAyOnai vAL valiyAl manthiram koL<\/em> [periya thirumozhi thaniyan]\u2019 (he got the rahasyam that is thirumanthram from mAyOn (<a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a>) using his strength of his sword);<\/p>\n<p>It continues as \u2018<em>manthiram koL <u>mangaiyar<\/u> kOn<\/em> [periya thirumozhi thaniyan]\u2019 (one who got the thirumanthram, he is the king of thirumangai). It is the gain of thirumanthram that is the reason for the glory of this <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>vAyththa \u2013 obtained\/got.<\/p>\n<p>It is \u2018<em>vAyththa thirumanthiram<\/em> [upadhEsa raththinamAlai \u2013 26]\u2019 (~ the great thirumanthram is available (for us)).<\/p>\n<p>Or, the place \u2018mangai\u2019 <em>got<\/em> the glory due to this <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr<\/a>\u2019s incarnation.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>mangaiyar kOn mAnilaththil vandhu udhiththa kArththikaiyil kArththikai nAL kAN<\/em> \u2013 <\/strong>Such <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr<\/a> the ruler of thirumangai, incarnated in the month of kArththikai in the star day of kArththikai, to remove the \u2018thamas\u2019 that is darkness (ignorance) from this world that is said as \u2018<em>iruL tharumA gyAlam <\/em>[<a href=\"https:\/\/divyaprabandham.koyil.org\/index.php\/thiruvaimozhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thiruvAimozhi<\/a> 10.6.1]\u2019 (~ material world that creates darkness) \u2013 learn this.<\/p>\n<p>Since in \u2018<em>kalayAmi kali dhvamsam kavim lOka dhivAkaram<\/em> [periya thirumozhi thaniyan]\u2019 it is referring to <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thirumangai AzhvAr<\/a> as a (rising) sun, here <a href=\"http:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/mamunigal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">he (maNavALa mAmunigaL)<\/a> is also using the word \u2018<em>vandhu udhiththa\u2019<\/em> (rise\/rose) to describe the incarnation of <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thirumangai Azhvar<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In this way he had manifested (AvirbhAvam), I have understood this greatness and am preaching this to you (the mind), and you who did not know this, shall now learn and support\/follow it.<\/p>\n<p>This <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2013\/01\/23\/thirumangai-azhwar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AzhvAr<\/a> , as said in \u2018<em>nejukku iruL kadi dhIpam <\/em>[periya thirumozhi thaniyan]\u2019 (~light that removes the darkness in our mind), incarnated to remove the darkness through his prabandham which is like <em>\u2018dheiva nan mAlai <\/em>[periya thirumozhi 1.1.10] (~ beautiful garland for <a href=\"https:\/\/acharyas.koyil.org\/index.php\/2012\/08\/17\/divya-dhampathi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">emperumAn<\/a>).
