Oh, one who is mercifully reclining on thiruvananthAzhwAn, who is the mattress and who is having a mouth which is spitting fire! Oh, Sriya:pathi (divine consort of SrI mahAlakshmi)! Oh, lord who is mercifully residing in the western side of thiruvazhundhUr! The five senses, being my controller, came to reside and are asking for lowly things saying “give these clothes, food etc”, are tormenting and not leaving me, who is your servitor. I, who am your servitor, am unable to tolerate the troubles caused by those senses. After reaching, considering you to be the refuge, I don’t know of any other activity to be done for my well-being. Hence, you show your mercy a little bit upon me saying “Alas! Alas!”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n kOvAy … <\/strong>– Instead of your being my lord, these five senses have become my controllers and entered my body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n kURai sORu ivai … <\/strong>– They are tormenting me continuously by asking me to give clothes, food etc while I am considering bhagavAn’s divine feet as clothes, food etc. I am unable to tolerate their torment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n punidhA <\/strong>– Oh, one who is having purity to protect me by eliminating my hurdles and doing it as your benefit!<\/p>\n\n\n\n putkodiyAy <\/strong>– Oh, one who has hoisted a flag to manifest all these aspects!<\/p>\n\n\n\n nedumAlE <\/strong>– Oh, one who is greatly infatuated toward devotees!<\/p>\n\n\n\n thIvAy nAgaNaiyil thuyilvAnE <\/strong>– Oh, one who is having the nature of being united with your devotees, always!
