periyAzhwAr thirumozhi<\/a> >> First Centum<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Previous<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n pravESam (Introduction)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In the earlier thirumozhi (divine verses), periyAzhwAr had enjoyed krishNa\u2019s activity of chappANi <\/em>(clapping his hands) at the same period of time that yaSOdhAp pirAtti had done, though he had come at a much later point of time. He enjoyed that with overflowing affection, and with her pathos. When little krishNa took thaLar nadai<\/em> (tender steps), she desired to enjoy his activity, as an outlet for her deep affection. Just as she had enjoyed that activity through her words, AzhwAr too, assuming her pathos, enjoys his activity at the same period as hers, and becomes joyous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n thiruvAimozhip piLLai, in his svApadhESam, says that in the earlier thirumozhi, AzhwAr had brought out, through krishNa\u2019s activity of chappANi<\/em>, Akinchanyam<\/em> in upAya upEya bhAvam<\/em> (absence of anything with us in attaining emperumAn and in carrying out servitude to him). Now, using his thaLar nadai<\/em> as a pretext, AzhwAr brings out the fact that anukUla prIthi<\/em> (friendly disposition towards favourable entities) and prathikUla nirasanam<\/em> (extermination of unfavourable entities) will happen, based on the conduct of the prapannan<\/em> (one who has surrendered to emperumAn).
