Oh, one who has the form of bluish cloud! Oh, my beautiful son, who danced on the head of snake kALiyan in a huge river such that it was pleasing to the mind! Oh, one who effortlessly plucked the tusks of elephant kuvalayApeedam which was eminent and in rut! Oh, one who has divine feet, and who, without any danger to yourself, destroyed the wrestlers who knew the nuances of wrestling! Oh, one who tends to cows! Oh, one who is obedient to the herd-folk and who has the arrogance of a bull which is battle-ready! You should dance; you should dance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>vyAkhyAnam (Commentary)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>kAya \u2026<\/strong> &#8211; The flower is called as <em>kAyAm <\/em>pU. The long syllable in <em>kAyA<\/em> has got shortened to the short syllable <em>kAya<\/em>. Owing to the shine and the dark-purple colour, oh, one who is like the dark-purple flower!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>thiruvAimozhip piLLai, in his svApadhESam, says: Oh, one who has the divine colour of a dark-purple coloured flower and who has a divine form which is like a cloud which has imbibed water to its neck [fully imbibed with water]!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>karu mugil \u2026<\/strong> &#8211; Owing to the darkness and coolness, oh, one who has the form of a rain-filled cloud!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>kAnagam \u2026<\/strong> &#8211; Oh, my beautiful son, who danced in a pleasing way, on the expanded hoods of snake kALiyan who became angry, while lying down inside a large river, and who drove the snake away from the river! <em>sundharam<\/em> \u2013 beauty; <em>siRuvan<\/em> \u2013 son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that in the middle of the orchard on the bank of river yamunA, in a large river, kALiyan had spread his hoods. Oh, one who danced on that kALiyan\u2019s head, in line with <em>bharatha SAsthram<\/em> [treatise on bharatha nAtyam]! The term <em>thUya nadam<\/em> refers to compliance with <em>bharatha SAsthram<\/em>. s<em>undhara<\/em> \u2026 &#8211; Oh, my little son, who is such beautiful that I could proudly say \u201cHe is mine\u201d! While I am your servitor, your activities are such that you are my servitor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>thunga \u2026<\/strong> &#8211; Oh, one who effortlessly plucked the tusks of elephant kuvalayApeedam, which was very tall and which was in rut!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ayam \u2026<\/strong> &#8211; the wrestlers [appointed by king kamsan to destroy you] knew the nuances in the art of wrestling. Without giving them scope, oh, one who went hurriedly towards them and killed them, roaming around [in the wrestling arena], asking \u201cIs there anyone else who is willing to fight?\u201d! Alternatively, the word <em>andharam inRi<\/em> would refer to absence of any space between the bodies of two wrestlers when they are engaged in wrestling.&nbsp; Also, <em>andharam <\/em>would refer to danger; here it would mean that krishNa destroyed the wrestlers without any danger to himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that without giving time to the wrestlers to present themselves [to the spectators] speaking highly of their achievements, krishNa immediately broke their bones with his divine feet in such a way that they were lifted like a plough. <em>Ayam<\/em> \u2013 nuances in wrestling. <em>andharam<\/em> \u2013 interval [time]. krishNa destroyed the wrestlers without giving them any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Aya<\/strong> \u2013 Oh, one who tends to cows!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>thiruvAimozhip piLLai says here that <em>Aya<\/em> would refer to \u201cfor\u201d. While I exist for you, you should perform <em>sengIrai<\/em> for me. Alternatively, <em>Aya<\/em> would refer to one who tends to cows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>enakku \u2026<\/strong> &#8211; for my sake, you should perform <em>sengIrai<\/em>, once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AyargaL \u2026<\/strong> &#8211; Oh, one who is obedient towards herd-folk such that they could be proud saying \u201cHe is ours\u201d due to which you are arrogant like a bull, which is ready for battle!
