In the past, during paraSruAma avathAram, he went to the battlefield, which yields victory, to have all the evil kings destroyed. He destroyed the strength of kArthavIryArjunan and severed his head. Oh, those who are desiring to keep the divine feet of such bhagavAn on your heads! Reach the dhivyadhESam named thirunaRaiyUr where the chOzha king, named sembiyan, who is having reddish eyes, is residing and who consecrated seventy beautiful temples for rudhra who is having eight shoulders and is constantly reciting purusha sUktham, and who is born in the best clan and is having abundant wealth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Highlights from vyAkyAnam (Commentary)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>murukku ilangu &#8230; <\/strong>&#8211; He is the beloved lord of nappinnaip pirAtti who is having lips which are shining like murukkam flower and reddish like kOvai fruit<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>man ellAm &#8230; <\/strong>&#8211; Went to the battlefield, vanquishing all the evil kings, on the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>seRRa vEndhan siram thuNiththAn &#8230; <\/strong>&#8211;  Oh those who are desiring to keep the divine feet of the one who incarnated as paraSurAma and killed sahasra bAhu arjunan, who is the reason for all the enemies, by destroying his strength, making him tired and severing his head!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>irukku ilangu &#8230; <\/strong>&#8211; For rudhra who is having in his mouth SrI purusha sUktha etc from vEdham, and who is having eight shoulders. thirunaRaiyUr is the abode, which was approached by the chOzha king, sembiyan, to fulfil his desires, after consecrating seventy beautiful temples for rudhra and still being unable to fulfil his desires. In the previous pAsuram, sembiyan&#8217;s actions are praised at par with the kAvEri&#8217;s flow of water which brings precious gemstones etc, and krishNa&#8217;s act of grabbing the clothes and bangles of the gOpikAs.
